The management seems all nice until you move in , then they act as if they own you. They never take anything seriously and basically ignore any problems in the complex. Crossdressers on heroin, crack and meth heads, bums, high school kids overdosing on the riverbank, broken glass everywhere in the grass(sliced my ankle last week), folks throw parties and all their friends with junker ghetto-sled Caddys, booming bass, and seats leaned all the way back come and take ALL the parking. The lawn and pool by the river isn't just for residents. Folks come from all over to use it as some sort of ghetto community park. So, you never know what type of crazy drugged-out weirdo you might get approached by. Keep a big stick and some mace handy. In some buildings there are unexplained pits full of standing water with swarms of mosquitos breeding right outside the windows. You can get your apartment sprayed for bugs but the herds of roaches just crawl the pipes from you neighbor's apartment who didn't elect to get sprayed. Of course management doesn't give a crap, they own you now remember' The laundry room has a system where you have to have a card charged with credit. You can only get it charged in the leasing office which is usually closed. No big deal except the machines steal your money more often than not and if the office is closed you are stuck with four loads of wet, soapy, laundry. The maintenance crew sucks. Some of them are nice , but most are mush-mouthed fools who couldn't find their own ass with a flashlight. Don't count on them to get ANYTHING done. It seems the cops are chasing and arresting someone at least twice a week. If you look even remotely like the "suspect" prepare to get harassed by the cops. Cars get vandalized and stolen here all the time. Hope you have good insurance. The complex uses MediaWorks as their cable and braodband supplier. It is VERY expensive for what you get with the cable television (YOU ARE OWNED.) The high-speed internet is an absolute joke. You pay $45 a month and it is slower than dial-up. They only have ONE T1 line supplying the whole complex which means there isn't enough bandwidth to even check your e-mail 99% of the time. If just one resident is downloading some crap for their ipod you are screwed as far as internet connection. Which is basically all the time. Mediaworks is a joke, Riverbend is a joke.
Don't believe them when they tell you they are working on the gate to get it fixed. They have been telling this lie for years. They won't. So there will always be ghetto fools driving through the complex as fast as their little crack-mobiles can go. Don't forget about residents who let their dogs crap in the middle of the sidewalk. I have a dog, and she goes in the woods, but on the sidewalk' What the other reviewer said about the garbage is right. It piles up on the weekends to about fifteen feet high. Full of nasty stuff, diapers and such. Stinks up the whole complex. And if you have a dog, watch out. There are "macho" druggies who think it is cool to have an "attack" dog. The attack dog owners often don't actually live here officially, they are usually hiding from the cops in a fellow drug abuser's apartment. Anyway, when walking your dog carry a big heavy stick, you might have to beat down a pit-bull or similar aggressive dog. Don't forget the coyotes either. Several tweaker residents who stay drunk all the time throw meat and food out in order to attract the coyotes from the neighboring Chattahoochie rec area. In their drunk stupor they imagine themselves as urban "Croc Hunters" communing with nature. If walking at night, especially with a dog, you might want to augment your big stick with a bright flashlight and a gun.
If you are thinking about living here, DON'T!

I can agree and confirm to all the above comments. The place is a sh#thole full of roaches that simply relocate within the buildings. The gates will never work, regardless of what the management promises to you. Do stay away, or if you're a current resident, contact and complain to higher authorities (i.e. Cobb County Police, etc).

A bit over the top and a racist pig, but you get the idea.
