Middle of the road overall

I am only writing this in response to all the bad reviews (if you will notice, the people with the worst reviews also cannot spell). It seems to me that people only write reviews after they move out- on bad terms- of an apartment.
Parking: I gave 3 stars because parking IS adequate in most buildings. In mine, however, this is not the case. But my legs work fine, so I deal with it.
Noise level: The walls are pretty thin here, so if your neighbors have any bass, you may want to talk to them. My neighbors can be pretty loud at times, but it is nothing like the last place I lived.
Grounds: I can only imagine how beautiful this place was in the past. It is old, however, and could use some repair. The grounds (not the buildings) COULD BE the most beautiful in Atlanta, if they would put in some work. I love being able to walk down to the river and relax.
Safety: Here is where I have a problem with most of the reviews. Why do people think that a gate provides ANY safety' Even with a gate, anyone could hop the fence, break into your apartment, kill you, and drive off in your car. In the time I have lived here, there has been one ATTEMPTED break-in. The last place I lived, someone was shot-execution style- 50 yards from my front door. This place is as safe as any other, and anyone who thinks a gate provides safety is a fool.
Construction: Its old. The floors squeak. I would say it is as nice as any place this old.
Maintenance: N/A. After all the problems at previous apartments, I fix most things myself. The only thing I have had to fix is the disposal (my roommate dropped some change in it, or maybe I did).
Office staff: N/A. I only gave it 2 stars because I have heard they can be slow from friends of mine who live here. But again, this place is old (and huge), so I can understand.
Overall: GREAT location. Average residents (one would have to be uber-racist to call this "the hood"). Average staff. Honestly, I live here for the location alone, and plan to live here until I have a major unresolved problem (or make enough money to buy a house).
