In the almost 4 years that I lived on this property I suffered repeated stopped up toliets and sinks, especially when it rained a lot and I had even a few visitors over. All of my holidays was a nightmare. More than once I had to stay in a hotel or with friends during the holidays because of the overflow of water from the toliet. The bathtubs were always stopped up or backed up. I refused to pay the water bill on a couple of occasions but they still billed me for it eventhough I had all the problems. The manager never lifted a finger to help me out, not one time. When I lost my job I went to them and told them and she just let me know that if I was late I would have to pay late fees and I still needed to pay the water bill without any discounts. I had already lived there for more than 2 years by the I started having money problems but I always paid my rent on time. A family member of mind had a two stroke and they acted so sorry but the manager didn't make it easy for me. She said she needed the water money and the rent. When I moved out I tried to give the office and mgr a check for more than half of the rent from a church that helped me but she would take it. She said that she needed it all at the same time. So instead of 454. I ended up owing them more than 1600.00. Finally, I paid them a settlement of over 800.00. All I can say is don't put yourself thru the hassle, stay away from RIVERBEND APARTMENTS which is a JULIAN LECRAW COMPANY. No matter how hard you try to do what is right by them they won't do what is right by you! I will take them to court one day!
