DO NOT MOVE HERE. dealing with this apartment complex and staff has been one of the worst experiences of my life. living in this apartment complex was one of the worst experiences of my life. i luckily only lived in this complex for a few months. but, do not let the staff deceive you into thinking this is an adequate or sufficient complex at all. this complex is very, VERY unsafe. on weekend nights, you may notice a police car or two posted at one of the gates, this is not for prevention measures, this is because they are more than likely needed at this complex on short notice. next, this community is not gated, which is probably the worst idea the management could make. i would rather wait in line to get into the complex than feel as unsafe as i did living there. however, if you enjoy many, many people walking on foot by your cars at all hours of the day, then this is your complex. not an hour went by when someone or some group of (usually sketchy) people on foot would walk by my car, i am not even sure if they lived at the complex or not. the reason for such activity is that there is not a fence around the complex, and it is located off of a fairly busy road, and a very busy interstate. people get right off of the marta buses and walk onto or through the complex. this will give you a very uneasy feeling from day 1, i know i felt that way. forget about submitting a maintenance request, because more than likely it will never get fixed. from the day i moved in, the apartment was not maintained, even though a leasing agent lied on the paper work. when work requests were made, then the requests were disregarded. be prepared for either maintaining the apartment yourself, or leaving it as is. i do not have much bad to say about the other residents of the complex, other than the fact that they probably hate the fact that they are stilling living in such an awful place. i would find it hard to believe that many tenants would stay here longer than the terms of their first lease. therefore, my advice would be to TALK TO THE CURRENT RESIDENTS BEFORE YOU MOVE IN, this will save you much heartache as you will know the TRUTH about the complex. Residents, as opposed to leasing agents, have no reason to lie to you about how they feel about the complex. finally, the worst part about the complex is the management. i will not say anything about them expect for the fact that i see them as the scum of the earth, and the biggest swindlers i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Oh, and, the higher up the management chain you go, the worse it gets (most managers try to deal with problems, as opposed to ignoring/denying them and letting them ruin the complex they are managing). i feel this complex will get far worse before it gets any better. if i had to do it all over again, i would pay up to a few hundred dollars more and live somewhere with "POST" apartment quality, because this complex is on the other end of the spectrum. i must say that i am far happier living where i am now than in riverbend, and not just because i am in another city. p.s. the hike to the river is not worth the trouble.
