An apartment hunting friend told me about this site and when I learned that some people were trashing the Waterford on Piedmont I felt I had to say something. I have lived at the Waterford for a year now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I am within walking distance to two MARTA rail stations (Atlanta s public transportation system) which was a real life saver during the recent fuel crisis in Atlanta. My place has stainless appliances, stone tile floors and a large garden tub that I can soak away the troubles on the day in! The clubroom is nice; I have friends over to relax, shoot pool and watch a little tv.
The Waterford hosts great resident functions at least once a month. I have gotten to know my neighbors and even the staff members who are always present at these events. I was even able to get my foot in the door at a large accounting firm downtown after a conversation with one of my neighbors. The management is always professional and constantly go the extra mile for residents. They have 24 hour concierge coverage which I like because I am a single female and I feel safer just knowing that they are a phone call away.
Yes, there is a homeless shelter in the area but I have never had any problems with them outside of the occasional request for spare change. Anyone looking to move into the Waterford; especially those new to the city, should not be swayed because of the complaints of a few people. This place is top notch with me!
