I have been living at this property for 11 months now and so far, I would say so good. This is my first apartment so I do not have any experiences to compare it with. I will break my review down from the time you enter the complex.
The location of the apartments are great - right off the interstate and close to downtown. The gate usually works - have seen it down maybe 3 times but is usually fixed in a day or two. The gate also does not leave lots of time for someone to piggyback you. The parking spaces are plenty but entirely too close. It took a while to learn how to park my car properly the first time around. The apartments are new, very clean grounds, and neat. The mailbox is in a central area. There is only one pool on the property - usually full during summer. I have to walk up four flights of stairs to get to my top apartment...just beware of that! Management is pretty helpful too. I have had no issues with them.

The apartment layout is great! I live in a 2 bedroom/2bath and the floorplans are wide open spaces. The kitchen, living room, and dining area are all open and you get an illusion of a large area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size; the closet space is big enough even for a girl who likes clothes, shoes, and purses like me. The walls are pretty thin, you can hear the neighbors walking up the stairs and banging their doors. Back to the location: it is next to the interstate. You can hear the cars passing by if you stand close to your door. The highway is surprisingly quiet though. Required valet trash costs $20/month. It is nice not to walk down those many flights of stairs with my trash.

Now, on to my complaints: there are NO trees in the entire complex. Unless you get an apartment in the bottom back row, you can kiss a nice view goodbye. This leads to my next complaint - the apartments get really, really hot -even at night! My roommate and I have complained about 7 times to management about our AC. It works but it doesn't cool down the bedrooms! The maintenance guy only knows how to change the filter! I just had to learn to deal with it. Another complaint is the one pool - surely management should have figured out that the complex is too big to just one pool. A more recent complaint I have is the lack of trash cans in common areas like the parking lot. I have recently noticed that people are leaving their plastic cups, spills, and such on the staircase...and it takes days for management to clean in up. Apparently, the valet trash people do not pick up these things. The gym is small...not tiny, but small.

In regards to safety, I haven't had any issues and I haven't noticed anything strange or suspicious

All in all, I would say this is a nice property. I would recommend it but have to say that I think there are good deals out there for much less money!
