This place has changed its name to Westminster at Buckhead just for the record. At a glance this property looks very upscale, but that is only because it used to be very nice and it is still holding on to those exterior qualities. Here is a list of some things that have recently occurred here: fitness center has been broken into twice and televisions have been stolen, business center has been broken into and all computers were stolen, and one night not too long ago 15 cars were broken into! Now the business center and fitness center are closed at night and have been for weeks. I have lived here for a while and it is only in the past six months or so that the place has been going downhill. Parking has become a nightmare. Maintenance requests take forever to get a response as they have claimed for months now to be understaffed. The only time I have gotten a fast response is when my A/C went out. The pool area used to be very attractive last year and now it is dirty and nasty and full of loud drunk people. They seem to no longer be strict on who they will rent to. I guess they will rent to anyone off the street, or at least it appears that way. The current leasing office staff while very nice, just flat out do not seem to be properly running the place anymore. Anytime there is an issue of any kind it takes so very long to get it taken care of. It seems that their only priority is handling new move-ins and everything else gets pushed aside. I really believe they need to get an experienced property manager to come in and clean this place up before it falls apart. I will not be renewing my lease this time and I want everyone to be aware that if you are looking to live in an upper-scale community that is safe, clean, and equipped with luxuries, this is not really the place to be. Basically, there is not much that separates this community from any other apartment complex in the atlanta area other than the price. There are some pros: there have been some renovations, nice appliances, washer and dryer in unit, but it is not enough to make up for the many issues that you will have to deal with. It is very sad because I do not want to have to pick up and relocate, but I will no longer live under these conditions and nothing is really being done to change it. I have talked to other residents who feel that they were misled. This place has the potential to be great if only it were maintained and managed properly.

This review was very helpful. I was at Camelot in 2006-2007 and it was a nightmare. The hallways smelled, the noise level was high, unsafe environment, cars being broken into, and poor/unresponsive management who made you feel like you were bothering them if you had a complaint or even a suggestion. I heard they changed management again and someone asked me if it was better. After reading your review I see it is even worse now...which is a scary thought. Thanks for being honest and telling us how it really is there. I will pass this info on to others.

Yes anonymous - I do have to agree with you 100% - this place is a disgrace. I have NO idea why they changed their name, in hopes to con people into thinking that this place has changed or portray it to be a totally different community? That is just pathetic. I have been living in this complex for around a year - and if it weren't for the agreed lease, I would get the HELL outta' dodge, I don't know what I was thinking. Wait - I remember, there were different managers at the time and it "WAS" slightly nicer then it is now, either that or I was in a complete daze to not see what was really going on. It is sickening to know that one night I was in the fitness center, enjoying the t.v.s they provided, not to come in the next night and see it closed because they (the t.v.s) had been stolen. I'm under the suspicion that this is an 'inside' job because this is on ongoing problem. You might as well just go to your local YMCA or public pool - you'll find more peace there then you would at the on-site pool, it reminds me of a drunken frat party ... the people who frequent it have no respect for the rules and policies of the pool use, nor other tenants - I'm guessing they were all raised in a barn - the yelling and screaming is very immature and inappropriate. And don't think the 'new' management will help out with any complaints either - they don't know whether to scratch their watch or wind their butts half the time. I'm surprise they even know how to form complete sentences - talking to them is like talking to a hole in the wall, nothing ever gets done..EVER. I've had an ongoing problem with my a/c unit - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The security there is a joke, I've hardly seen any on property, which makes me feel REALLY safe, I've always wondered what it would be like to get assaulted in my own apartment complex - I guess now I have my chance. (Kidding really). You are also right when you say that there are some pros, but for all the disadvantages and cons that exist here, the small amount that do exist do not even matter. The fellow neighbors all seem and act like they are from the ghetto, no manners, negative attitudes with mouths to match. If you have kids, be sure to cover your ears outside of your apartment - or else they will learn a language that you DO NOT want them to discover. Honestly - I wouldn't pay someone to live here. Beyond the decent landscaping and exterior buildings is a complex straight out of the gutter. There are plenty of other complexes that offer EXACTLY what they're advertising, unlike here. Do not be fooled into thinking you're getting a good deal - you'd be getting the exact opposite. Once my lease is up - I am out of this place, never to recommend it to a soul.

Yea I have to totally agree with everything you said as well as the other comments. I regret daily ever moving into this place! There were so many other places willing to move me in when I made the mistake of choosing this one. It seems so nice when you first visit, but being a tenant there is a whole different story. I can't wait for my lease to be up as I will not be renewing it here! I wouldn't wish this nightmare upon anyone else new to Atlanta looking for a nice upscale complex. Do NOT make the same mistake we all did by falling for their lines and moving here.

I am the current manager of Westminster at Buckhead and have also worked on this property when it was Camelot at Buckhead. I will agree there have been several changes however we trust they have been and will continue to be for the better. I apologize that the current parking arrangements have been described as a nightmare; we have very recently had both parking decks painted for the betterment of our community. We now have assigned parking for our residents of Westminster at Buckhead. This is exclusively for the convenience of our residents. In addition, you will soon receive parking stickers in an effort to alleviate confusion with the assigned spaces. It is true that we have been understaffed in the maintenance department since the end of April. It was very important to us that we made good hiring choices for replacements. I am delighted to report that we are now fully staffed. We really appreciate and thank all of you for your patience during this transition period and I am very sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused. Our number one priority is our resident???s. If you have been made to feel as if your issues were not important, please feel free to speak with me so we can work to resolve any concerns you might have immediately. It is our desire and goal to continue to make Westminster at Buckhead a wonderful community that you can be proud to call you home. Erin Steele Property Manager

After about FOUR months, it is great to hear that there is a full maintenance staff. It is also nice that the parking decks were painted, I guess???? It is very concerning that these are the only issues that the manager addressed in that last response. I think that it validates the frustration that each of the posters are expressing. And by the way, what are the several changes you speak of that have been and will continue to be for the better?? I can only see changes that are for the worse. Is not replacing the computers that were stolen from the business center and closing down the fitness center your idea of changes for the betterment of the community?? Did you even carefully read all of the reviews and the responses here?? What about all of the other complaints?? I guess, as usual, all that the residents are going to get are vague responses and a few broad statements. In essence, the same old story, the run around.
