Camelot at Buckhead, now calling itself Westminster at Buckhead, looks like a nice place to call home when you first arrive and take the tour, but do not be fooled. I have lived here for since the begining of 2008 and have watched it get worse and worse ever since. Twelve cars were broken into in the "secure" covered parking garages in one evening. The 24 hour fitness center has had tv's and stereo equipment stolen from them causing it to be closed for a lengthy amount of time only to be reopened with limited hours now. The 24 hour business center had all 3 computers stolen which has yet to be reopened. So much for feeling safe at home. There is no security of any kind other then the gates to the garage, which anyone can slip in and the short arms are either broken off or just a plain joke, and the coded doors, which have the same combination, don't even close all the way. The pool has barely been usable this summer as it either needed cleaning, chemicals, or just plain being shut closed for "pool maintenance", whatever that may mean. The elevator by the office has been broken down so many times. A few of the mailboxes are constantly wide open for anybody to take those people's mail. (luckily one is not mine!) The maintenance always seem to have emergencies causing your work orders to go for weeks with no answer or resolution. The office staff, as nice as they are, seem oblivious to anything going on in the complex and never know exactly when things will get done or what to do after crimes such as these occur. They are always stating they are short staffed and have so many work orders to take care of, yet nothing seems to get done. They spent money on "renovating" the parking garage which consisted of a few guys spray painting the ceilings and posts of the garages. How about spending the money on ways to keep us safe or things the complex actually needs like more office help or maintenance workers' Visitor parking is a joke because there are only about 8 spaces on the tops of the garages. As nice as the place may look while walking around, it is not as nice as it should be for what they are charging for rent! Market values are $1200-1800' Not with all of the crime and amenities being out!

You are not alone i feel the same way. I wish I would have never moved here. I have to go out and get a gym membership now because I like to work out early in the morning before i get ready for work and I can not do that anymore here because they lock the gym now. It makes me so mad because having a twenty four hour gym was one of the reasons I decided to live here. Luckily I have a computer so the business office does not affect me, but that is still one more thing that has been taken away. The parking garage does not even look any different after they painted it, such an inconvienence for us with the whole parking thing for nothing. I can not wait for my lease to be up so I can find a better place to live that is probably even cheaper. Rent is too much here for all this crap! It is not worth it at all!

I am the Property Manager of Westminster at Buckhead and have also worked on this property since 2006. The gates are controlled access not security gates. The arms attached to the gates are the length recommended for this property. We can never promise that anyone will be secure while on the property. This is a wonderful community and the recent events should not tarnish the image of the community. We have indeed had some issues with the elevator. The issues arise from movers propping the doors open while moving furniture. We ask that all new and exiting resident's contact the leasing office for assistance with the elevator to ensure that our current resident's are not inconvenienced by inoperable equipment. Please know that here at Westminster at Buckhead our number one priority is our resident's. I am more than happy to discuss any issues that you may have, so that we can work together to resolve them. It is our desire and goal to make this a wonderful community and that all of you would be proud to call this your home. Erin Steele Property Manager

In reference to the Property Manager - I'm sensing you have not only a poor, but also a sour attitude in regards to the comments made about the this property. You "claim" that the residents are your number one priority and that your goal is to make the complex a wonderful community, but WHAT exactly are you doing to make it that way? Whatever it is you're calling those "things" out in front of the complex, they are there to keep unauthorized vehicles out. Controlled access-security gates - SAME DIFFERENCE. Either way - they're neither controlling the access nor securing the property, which DOES NOT give the residents piece of mind at 3:00 in the morning, when God knows who's lurking around the premises. How much access can be controlled when an individual, let alone an actual CAR can just drive AROUND the arm and get right in?? We (the tenants) are doing NOTHING to "TARNISH" the so-called image of this community either, the blame should be on those who are doing the damage, so please be aware of what you are saying and who you are saying it to. We are merely stating facts and warning future residents exactly what they're getting into - a semi-poorly run complex, with a semi-poor staff, undoubtedly a BAD image of a community. I can not believe that you are claiming that this is a wonderful community with all that has gone on and what little has been done to change it - that is a false statement to advertise when this property has, in fact, been 'tarnished' as you liked to say. I also do not think it's very professional, nor acceptable for the property manager to say "We can never promise that anyone will be secure while on the property". Clearly you have contradicted yourself when you claim that the residents are your NUMBER ONE PRIORITY - that just does not look good on your part. How could anyone POSSIBLY call this place home when you're sitting here stating that you cannot promise that? I don't know about you - but my home SHOULD be and feel safe and secure, which is totally not the case here. That is just unbelievable - and you should REALLY be ashamed. And why keep it to just covering the "controlled access arms" and elevator? The elevator should really be the least of all worries on this property. What about the rest of the issues that are undeniably a huge problem - take for instance the vandalism of the computers and televisions? Does that not make you feel a little uneasy? That perhaps that's not as far as the vandalism is going? Maybe you don't worry about it too much because you are not here after 5/6 p.m. because you don't even live on the property. Maybe you should stay here, unannounced for a week and then tell us how safe you feel, maybe that would change your mind a little bit. It is pointless to say that you would be more then happy to discuss "any" issues that we may have because while we are stating them here and you respond, you have not addressed all the things mentioned going on here at Westminster. You should really stop and think about what you are saying before you make comments. We should not have to work WITH you to fix these problems, nor should we have to get on the phone to "discuss" them either, this is the property management's problem, not ours. Again - we are NOT the ones deeming this place as a "tarnished image", the ones doing the damage are to blame, so please understand that and please get it right. It's really unbecoming of a manager to have this kind of attitude about their property, which in turn makes the residents feel even more neglected and overlooked. Thank you.

Let's not attack the Property Manager. Stating the facts are good, but attacking doesn't seem to be right thing to do. Many of the Property Managers are not responding any of the reviews. At least, she explained some of the issues we have at the community.
