I have lived here for a couple months now. Its a real nice place for the area. When you tell people you live near Cumberland Mall they sometimes give you this halve hearted smirk because of the bad reputation of areas like Smyrna and Marietta for having not so pleasant tenants. They especially give you this look when your directions include Windy Hill Road. This is a misconception. I know the area, and I agree that anywhere west of I-75 between Marietta and I-85 is not a pleasant place to be. Also, anything a couple miles north of Windy Hill on the east side insn't worth much. By the way, if you are not from the area, let me give you some advice. If you are a student like me or just want to have peace and quiet, DO NOT, live anywhere near Windy Hill (west of I-75), Delk Rd., Terrel Mill Rd., South Cobb Drive, or Cobb Pkwy (south of Kennesaw). Don't say I didn't warn you.

Back to Wildwood. Wildwood ridge is located in a nice "pocket" that is somewhat protected in an area called Wildwood. Windy Hill is very short on the east side of the interstate and you enter Powers Ferry Rd. This geography cuts off the area from a lot of the other undesirable areas. There are a few complexes in this pocket (Post (which has a reputation for being upscale), The Rivers (nice place too), and Wildwood Ridge. There are a lot of Office buildings, restaurants, shops and some upscale dining nearby. The area is really nice, and I feel safe. I love the shops that are at the entrance of Wildwood ( Moe's, A Fish Grill, Winery, Fresh Salad Shop and Smoothie King). I'd rather be surrounded by offices and shops because at least people in suits dion't try to use your pool and hang out in your complex blasting their music. It's quiet around here.

About Wildwood. I have yet to have any negative feelings about this place. Most of the people I have met are nice and diverse. Many are young profeesionals, recent college graduates and lots of young educated couples like us. I feel completely safe. Matter of fact, the gates are so effective, there is no way to ride a bike (to the gym) outside of the complex without waiting for someone to come in. The office staff is very professional (Zach is very nice)and handle things in a timely manner. The gym is excellent for this price range, as well as the size and upkeep of the pools. The landscaping is well kept and there is always maintainance and groundskeepers riding around attending to the area. I misplaced a box ouside my house while moving in and before I realized it they had disposed of it. Nice place in a nice location. If you are a "shady" person please look elsewhere where they accommidate your type of activities.

A Footnote. I know many people write these reviews out of anger. I'm sure many of these people are being evicted,behind on rent, had a bad neighbor, are scared of people of another race, close minded, and the like. Thing happen. There are many nice places in Vinings that I looked at which had ratings of 30%. So please don't take all complaints seriously-not just the ones here, but everywhere. I work in customer service, so I know that people are a lot more passionate about complaining than complementing. Thank, have a great day.
