You couldn?t pay me enough to live there. This place should be condemned.

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2000
This is must be the worst apartment complex in America. I lived there for 4 months during 2000. Frankly, I wouldn?t wish this experience on my worst enemy. If you enjoy living with huge palmetto bugs/roaches, move here, because there are roaches a-plenty. Moved into the complex after taking my first job in Atlanta. Everything was fine the first night in the apartment (I was to begin my job the following day), until I got up from bed to go to the bathroom. I wished I hadn?t, I would have gotten some sleep that night. I found about six live palmetto bugs on the floor, and probably 20 dead ones in the globe of the bathroom light. I then searched my apartment and found about 20 more live roaches, which by then had spread all over the apartment and into my belongings. Needless to say I was late to my first day of work, and was forced to leave early in attempt to handle the situation. I went to management the following day, who told me that they could only call an exterminator in an emergency situation. When I asked what they considered an "emergency" situation to be, I was given a blank stare.
I was forced to pay for my own exterminator, who advised me to move out of the complex as fast as possible. He said that the whole building was infested, and the only solution was to tent the building. When I apprached the leasing office about finding a resolute solution to the problem, the only solution they offered up was to spray on Wednesday. Those roaches must be invincible, because I had the exterminator spray every Wednesday, and the roaches kept coming.
I decided to bypass the leasing office and go straight to the owners. I figured that maybe the owners would like to keep a good tenant happy, one with good credit, and a great payment history. The management was completely useless and incompetent. I am convinced there is no company called "Pinnacle Management", because they never would respond to my approximately 50 phone calls, and about 10 letters.
After summer ended, I figured my bug problem would slow down. Wrong. The roach problem was so rampant in that the roaches laid so many eggs in the baseboards of the apartment, there was a non-stop flow of baby roaches being born. I had to yell at the "people" (the leasing office employees shouldn?t qualify as people, I think sloths would be a better term) in the leasing office to come to my apartment and actually look at the problem. Even now, two years later, I still smell the faint hint of Raid on my clothes, from the approximately 10 bug bombs I threw into that apartment. I stopped at ten because after the bugs kept coming, I felt it was hopeless.
If you do find yourself in this dump, use it as an example of what you don?t want in an apartment. Do yourself a favor, when the present you with some "incentive" to live there, laugh in their face, spit on the floor (in the leasing office), then leave feeling grateful you?ve read this comment.
Just FYI: I am NOT exagerrating. There were no money disputes. The only grudge I have is that they made me live in such garbage for 4 months.
I have not logged any other comments in this rating section. I just found out about this website, while writing a positive review about the apartment I currently live in (which is a comparative heaven). My belief is that the only people pleased with these apartments are the illegal immigrants that live there and pack 20 people in a one bedroom apartment. Knowing that it is unlikely those people have internet access, my strong belief is that the positive comments here come from office management.
If it is true that this place is being demolished, I feel sorry for the construction workers. They will be wading through more roaches and rodents than they will know what to do with.
