I lived here for about 1 yr. Here are my complaints:
1)Leasing staff does not inform you of water shut offs, etc. well in advance. One morning I woke up to start a new job and found I couldnt take a shower. I had gotten home the night before at 12 am and there was no notice on my door, but when I left my apartment (after finding I couldnt take a shower) there was one posted stating my water would be shut off today. That was helpful. I called the leasing office to have Kim tell me she typed the letters the day before. Well, who ever she gave them to didnt deliver them until the day of (at least thats when I got mine). She offered no apologies and acted like the notice would automatically be transported to my door from her PC. And why in the hell dont they put notices in mailboxes''
2)Roaches, roaches, roaches. ALL shapes and sizes. Even when I cleaned my heart out there were still roaches. A "Quaint" community doesnt have to mean roach infested. Dont feel comfortable cooking in my own house. By the way, the sewage runoff canal that splits the apartment complex in two is probably the culprit.
3)Patronizing staff, especially Kim, aim to minimize your problems and make you feel stupid by letting you know you're really not going to upset her with your petty complaints.
4)My balcony wasnt finished when I moved in and it still isnt finished. But hey, theyve got me as a tenant so theres no need to rush now.
5)My curiosity and a gut feeling told me to pull up the carpet and see what's under there. Well, there's wood that looks fire and water damaged crawling with little transparent bugs under my carpet.
BOTTOM LINE: You can really do much better for the same price. I feel sorry for the people paying more for these crappy apartments. I ended up here because I was getting frustrated in my apartment search. Dont rush or youll end up at a place like Yorke Downs. But, to be fair, if you were really in need of a place to lay your head, you could live here. The roaches arent constantly climbing the walls, but you will see MANY. This complex is three steps above a housing project.

When I lived there, we had several different leaks occur from upstairs. One in the bathroom ceiling and one down the living room wall. Guess what? they didn't do anything about the ceiling or the wall. WE had black mold growing in the ceiling and my boyfriend was severely allergic to it. Terrible experience.
