Yorke Downs Apartments

DO NOT LIVE HERE From: cateyes74 Date posted: 9/6/2002 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2002   I lived here for 2 years and it was the worst experience I ever had!! I HATE YORKE DOWN APARTMENTS. They have a RODENT problem that has gotten worse since construction began. Our first apartment was in the back by the railroad tracks and the train made SOOOO MUCH NOISE YOU COULD NOT SLEEP. The leasing office told us that it was not their concern. We heard noises in our ceiling and we were told it was squirrels. We couldn't take the noises in the ceiling at night and the train noise any longer and asked to be moved to the front of the complex. They charged us $300 to do so. What a joke!! In the front you couldn't hear the train but you still had noises in your ceiling. THEN WE FOUND OUT THAT THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM RATS!! I WAS HORRIFIED!! The complex called themselves fixing the problem but the last straw was when I came out one morning and saw a dead mouse in the parking lot. The leasing office did not do anything to calm our fears. I am very afraid of rats and to live with them over my head was very dramatic for me. By the grace of God, our lease was up and needless to say I WILL NEVER LIVE HERE AGAIN!!!
