Great place to live if you like to hear the neighbors!!

We just moved in in July and already are not that thrilled. We picked to live here because of it being a gated community, attractive grounds and the apartments are really nice. First of all when we moved in the apartment was cleaned that well and the paint job was horrible. There were still tacks in the walls from the previous tenants. We found out in August that the gates really don't do much as several cars were broken into and visitors (or other people)just park next to the gate and wait for someone to go thru and then just follow them in without a problem. And don't forget your gate card cause if you do there is no way to get in unless you find someone nice enough to let you in. The grounds are really nice but watch were you walk as they do allow pets and no one picks up after them and there is dog poop everywhere. Don't expect maintenance to pick it up cause they won't and don't bother complaining cause when I did I was told to take care of it myself and if I see anyone not picking it up for me to talk to the offender myself!!!! My biggest complaint thought is how thin the ceilings are. We can hear everything our upstairs neighbor does including going to the bathroom and yes having sex. I did complain about the excessive noise from upstairs and was told during the day people can make as much noise as they want too, but if its after 8pm than we can call the "courtesy officer" (and when we did he told us he was not on the grounds so there was nothing he could do about it)but other then that there is nothing the staff would do. I guess reminding loud residence that they do have people living below them would be to much work. Parking is not a problem for us. I don't know what the other people are talking about as we always have a parking spot. The pool rules are not enforced and for the most part that has not been a problem. The pool and fitness room are always taken care of and you never see any trash on the ground. Overall it's really not a bad place to live if you can handle the headache from all the stomping around in the upstairs apartments.
