These apartments 'appeared' to be nice when we were looking at them. My husband and I thought "Hey, its close to base its not going to be that bad right'" Well apparently we were wrong. Management is a pain in the ass to deal with. (If you read the past reviews and see the responses from the manager 'Rebecca' you will get the impression that shes a little bit of a wrench.) Anyway, the demo apartment that they showed us looked very nice. Thats when we decided to sign the lease.
Well when we moved in, we were put in the filthy apartment. We had garbage from the construction ON OUR PORCH, a molded (approx. 4x4) piece of carpet (soaked in water) on our porch, paint chips in the washer and dryer, and the apartment had a wretched smell. (Also wasn't clean.)
The managers didn't have maintenance clean the mess outside. We had to move the crap off our porch and clean the area. I'll give them credit that they cleaned the apartment when we told them it was dirty.
When the construction was here they were the most obnoxious people ever. There was no warning when they started pounding on my walls in the morning. I woke up to hearing my TV fall off the stand, along with some other misc. items. All I can say is thank god it is a flat screen. (They also liked to use our electricity from our washer/dryer room. I don't remember how many times I told them to unplug the thing. They even did it after we made a complaint to the manager!)
The gym is a joke. The machines are either falling apart or already broken.
I give them credit that it is a pet friendly apartment. Except that 3/4ths of the pet owners don't clean up their pets feces. Some don't even put a leash on their pets. Theres a black lab thats running around without a leash all the time, pooping all over the fricking place. At least the owner could have him poop near his apartment and not all over.
Maintenance drives their pathetic golf cart around giving everyone stink eye thinking that they are gods. Yet they don't do their job half the time. I see them most of the time in the office doing nothing. Actually I see the staff doing nothing usually! Except when they are in their golf cart showing someone around. Yes, golf cart thats how lazy they are and the property isn't that big.
The parking here is adequate. I feel bad for the handicap. I see people in the military using handicap parking that aren't handicap. Actually I have not yet see one handicap person use those stalls because the younger residents take them up.
The walls on these apartment are like paper thin. I hear my upstairs neighbor get up in the morning, take a shower, and leave every morning at 4 30 am! The floor boards squeak like no bodies business. I mean its not a little squeak here and there, its big squeaks like it sounds like the ceiling is going to fall.
So if you like dirty old apartments, 1970's - 1980's appliances, a distasteful landscape, dishonest immoral management, added with a touch of overpaid maintenance for the job they do, with a dash of BS that the management puts on for all the tenants. I think that you will like this place.
