great place but epensive, thin walls, isolated

This is the best apartment available in Augusta. 19 foot ceilings, 12 foot windows, hard wood floors, security desk, maintenance, laundry, gym (small, but good if you want a quick run). Its MAYBE a mile from MCG and close to downtown. there hasn't been a single crime committed in the 8 or 9 years they've been here. plenty of parking. free use of banquet and conference facilities.
The downsides are:
-thin walls (I hear EVERYTHING...alarms, cabinets, shower singing, and you know...EVERYTHING).
-spiders and ants...they come with the place. ants don't bite and they'll spray for them if you ask, but you can see them crawling around in the lobby and all. the spiders basically are harmless too. i rarely see them)
-the windows rattle...not sure why. you have to figure out which pane is shaking and stuff some paper in or something.
-the air conditioner is loud and so are the trains...it takes some getting used to.
-can't paint walls
-no pets allowed (not even fish)
-very expensive for augusta. rent goes up at least 3% each year and they don't budge because they have "a list a mile long". even after years of living here, they don't give you a break because they're "business people".
in my book, business is about the people too. not just the bottom line.
