My wife and I have lived here for 5 months now. When we were looking for an apartment, we were impressed by how the apartments looked, and decided to move in here. (Unfortunately for us, we did not realize that the Traditions was once known as Colonial Village, or else we NEVER would have considered it based on its rating alone.) Back to business: when we moved in, things were pretty nice; the staff was friendly and helpful, we had some minor issues (doorbell not working, busted screen door) that got resolved quickly, and the apartment was nice.

Until we really spent time looking at it. Our bedroom floor has a nice little slope right in the middle of it, and the wall and floor aren't even connected in one corner! The plumbing is terrible: the water in our tub takes at least two-three minutes to drain out after a shower (TRIED to get this fixed, but after maintenance came and ran some Drano through and I told him it wouldn't work, he said "this is BETTER than Drano...guess not), and the toilet is in constant need of flushing.

And it starts with the first heavy rain. Our roof decides it would be fun to start leaking in the bedroom. After trying to call the "emergency line" (nothing more than their office number with an answering service IF you're lucky) and not getting said answering service, I was a little peeved. Called them the next day and said they'd take care of it. No problem; until a month later and the SAME THING happens again. This time the answering service actually picked up, maintenance came, and had someone fix the problem (at least it hasn't leaked so I assume it's fixed).

Then comes summer time. After calling multiple times about our A/C not blowing cold air, they come out and tell us "It's normal in the summer time for your apartment not to get cool, especially because you live upstairs". Now, I'm no expert, but I'm sure the exact OPPOSITE is true. While the vents may be blowing, they only blow lukewarm air, and it doesn't go anywhere. If we want to break our lease, we have to pay them almost $2400 in "concessions" they've given us towards our rent, plus two months rent. (EDIT: I just received my power bill...$216' But that's "normal".)

My advice...stay as far away from The Traditions at Augusta as you can. Do yourself a favor...you'll thank yourself for it. Especially with all of the construction they're doing nearby...AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

EDIT: We were fortunate enough to be able to get out of our lease early. Unfortunately, it came at the cost of the apartment unit catching on fire. We are supposed to be receiving a refund check, but it's been over a month and still no sign of it. Maybe one day we'll actually see it.
