Wow I just moved here and I ended up paying for an apartment i don't even stay in. The honest truth I hate it here and the people no women that stay here are misleading. They will tell you anything to get you in but once they have you lets just say you are no longer a person. You are a check that they get every month and for as much as you pay the quality is WAY below average. The day I came to get the keys i was informed that my original apartment had a water pipe burst and i had to wait in order to stay there so the could "bring it to living standard". after 6 days i kept calling and they told me that they will place me in another apartment nothing liked i wanted and i really had no choice because hotel fees were killing me. My tolet still will not flush, my blinds will not pull back(in fact they don't budge), my kitchen sink has littler to none water pressure, there is no light in the bedroom, bugs manage to appear often, my tub does not drain,and i still do not have a light buld ficture or a door bell like the other tenants NOT TO MENTION HOW THIN THE WALL ARE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY I AM PAYING AND I SHOULD HAVE WENT TO SPRING HOUSE THE LIVING STYLE IS SO MUCH BETTER AND I AM TRULY DISAPPOINTED. IN FACT I FEEL COMPELLED TO TAKE THIS TO COURT MY ATTORNEY SAYS I HAVE A SOLID CASE. PLUS THE RECENT BURN DOWNS IT IS NOT SAFE...

Wow, sounds like they really screwed you over. They did a bait-and-switch on me. They showed me a nice, newly renovated apartment complete with an updated stove. I was impressed. We came back the following day and a signed a least. And then, at the last minute, she tells us, "Oh, that apartment I showed you yesterday has already been rented." Oh, really? How convenient. So she went to show us the apartment we were getting instead, but she claimed she didn't have the key so we couldn't go inside and look at it. However, she assured us that it was exactly the same as the one we looked at the previous day. Come to find out, it's older and crappier. We've also had many of the same problems you've encountered. Insect and MICE(!) infestations, tub not draining, poorly crafted blinds, paper thin walls, etc.
I really do feel for you. I am so sorry for your troubles. You have my sympathy. We're just riding out lease out and then we're getting the heck out of dode. Just take it on a day-by-day basis. Bide your time and then leave. I promise it'll go by fast.

EVERYONE REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE TO GIVE 60 DAYS NOTICE TO MOVE OUT - EVEN WHEN IT'S THE END OF YOUR LEASE!!!! I AM NOT FROM HERE, AND HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING, BUT EVIDENTLY IT'S IN THE LEASE AND IF YOU DON'T YOU'RE STUCK!!!!!!! NOW THE HOUSE I WAS UNDER CONTRACT FOR IS GOING TO BE GONE, I WILL HAVE TO START MY SEARCHING ALL OVER AGIAN, BUT BELIEVE ME, I WILL NOT STAY HERE A MINUTE MORE THAN THE 60 DAYS. BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS FORUM IS ACCURATE. TWO FIRES IN A YEAR AND WHEN IT GOES UP, IT GOES UP FAST WITH THE GARBAGE THESE APARTMENTS ARE MADE OF.
