Everything But The Pool

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
We rented a downstairs one bedroom for 6 months here, with one indoor cat.
We decided to rent there when one of our friends told us he rented there, and we checked it out. We were moving because the house we were renting was being moved back into by the owner. We moved out of Traditions because of employment relocation. Overall, I was very satisfied with our time there and would recommend this place to others.
There was always plenty of parking - though it is not assigned and I occasionally had to park several spaced down from the entrance to my apartment.
Pet owners do not always clean up after their pets, so there are messes in the grass, but it's not obvious unless you are walking in the grass (as when walking in the area around the pool/ball court).
Moving out was very easy, and we received a letter commenting on how clean we had left our apartment. The office staff was often busy, but never rude.
We did make use of the exercise room, and the exercise bike rarely worked correctly (a piece on it was broken), but the treadmill was in good condition.
We did have problems with mold in the bathroom (in the wall between the tub and the washer/dryer area), but when we reported it to the staff, they came and sprayed it (with bleach, I think). I don't think the plumbing in our apartment was the best. I don't remember having any problems with the maintenance staff or neighbors. I think we could hear our upstairs neighbors, when they walked around or thumped, but never to the point of depriving us of daytime sleep. We never heard our next-door neighbors - but I think that was due to the fire barrier (a concrete barrier that separates units).
We really enjoyed walking to the nearby Target shopping center. There is a sidewalk that runs from the complex to the shopping center, so we didn't have to step out in the traffic. Pedestrian crosswalks had been put in in 2007 in the shopping area, so it's a lot safer to walk over there.
There was a fire in a separate building while we lived there - but I don't remember how the tenants were treated. I was not told anything concerning it.
The one thing that made me angry was that the pool is seasonal. And the pool closed for the season during a week of 90 degree (F) weather! That's CRAZY (and cheap).
The climate control was a little schitzo - it would adjust the temperature to within ten degrees of the stated temp, even when we pulled the shades to (we faced the trees, which kept our back porch shady, and our apartment very cool) and were out of the apartment for several hours. It would get too hot, so we would tap it down, but then it would get way too cold.
There was a lot of noise in the area and a lot of dust due to the city putting in a new exit on the highway nearby, but that's part of being in the city.
