Not so bad.

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
Alot of the apartments my friends rented in the area had termite problems, roaches, earwigs and so on. We only seen 2 small cockroaches in the apartment in the 8 months we lived there. Everything was great but our AC broke down a lot, the comcast internet/cable would mess up a LOT. We had to call them to fix it a few times. (4). Due to old wiring for all that in the apartment complex. Maintenance was pretty good. Rarely ever off. The pool was constantly bug filled and filthy. Due to the complex being around trees/wooded areas. The 1 bedrooms have no washer and dryer hookups or washer and dryers at all. But the laundry facility isn't too far from them. They are 1.25$ per load though. Ridiculous! The 2 bedrooms like ours had a washer and dryer hookup in the bathroom. Not bad. My friends living in the complex all had mediocre move ins. With dirty carpets, no remodeled counter tops and floors like promised. Kitchens were tiny with barely any counter space. Our AC unit got struck by lightning once. We have had AC problems 3-4 times. Which lead to a costly electric bill of 400$ . The way they decided to connect the wires in the walls is dumb. They used plastic which in time heated up one of our unused outlets and brought this gross odor and warmth to the room I had to call maintenance down and it was 8PM and they treated it as an emergency. They were there right away. Our dishwasher/garbage disposal broke and leaked down into the neighbors kitchen. My friends have a leak from their ceiling in their bathroom from their upstairs neighbors bathroom. They have a leaky toilet and it gets all over my friends bathroom floor. Soaked and flooded! Termites are eating out other friend's door panel in his bathroom. Other people have had their dishwashers break. The front desk ladies are okay unless you catch them on a bad day. They were nice to us, but others did not like them. Parking was first come first serve. There was definitely enough parking! Wild dogs would run around though, not harming anyone or anything. Trash was kept down and clean. There are dumpsters infront of each building which was great! They pay for your water, sewage/trash and pest control. They did have a gym but it was only open until they left. Pool opened at 9AM-8PM which was great! It was VERY convenient to shopping and restaurants and movie theaters. It's right off of Washington RD. Washington RD is a big strip of shopping and eating. Downtown and the airport were very close also. The neighbors next to us were noisy and had a big huge sound system for their TV and had it sooo loud! I banged on the wall a few times and nothing! The downstairs neighbor also got a yappy dog that barked alll hours of the day. The area wasn't too clean, it was trashed up pretty bad but for the most part, it was okay. There was a truck parked out by our complex that someone said had been there for years when the contract strictly said NO unused vehicles parked and all trash must be picked up. I didn't see anyone abiding by the rules! Also, if your mail arrives (packages) and you're not home, usually they will keep it in the office for you and leave a note on your door. But not once have they done that for us! They leave the package at the front door! Where it could be stolen! Or open your door and place it in there (Which also only happened once). They don't leave notes on the doors anymore though. Staff has gotten SO lazy! We saw the slumping progess of it slowly but surely. We saw it getting crappier and crappier as we were there. But all in all, the apartment was nice, the paint job and everything was crappy inside. They give you a sheet to look through for all the damages in the apartment and you MUST write down everything because they will say "OH well then what is this'" And if you didn't write it down, you are liable for the damage. And the apartments have TONS of damage throughout them. Our guest room closet doors did not fit right on the track and broke within 2 slides. Our screen on the guestroom patio doors did the same! And the blinds were crappier than ever! Torn and crumbled up. Our water heater was also tiny so you only get about 10-20minutes of hot water. If that! Some apartments had new water heaters, some like ours, did not. Augusta is really ghetto. You don't have any nice trails to walk on without feeling in danger! The only really good thing about the apartments was Washington RD and it's having everything. And if you go the other way, there's nothing but shopping, and the mall is 5-10min away. There is a vet across the street that is okay but not great. The people are nice. Also a convenience store across the street open until 12. And the CVS pharmacy open until 6-8PM. All in walking distance. The complex since it has so many trees, is gorgeous in the fall. But that fooled us! :D It wasn't so bad, but I just hated the area and was ready to get out of disgusting augusta! A friend's brother came down to visit and his car was broken into. Car alarms would go off all hours of the night. I think some were broken or hopefully that was the case! Also homeless people slept in the woods and were visible at night sometimes. Very scary but they didn't bother anyone. It was good but not great to live there. Other's may have other opinions. But this is mine. The price was actually decent as well! Our door did wobble even if it was locked. All you would need to do was push it a little or bump into it pretty good and I'm sure it would break open. That also worried me!
