Pricey doll, you're paying for the service, but I like it

I rented a 2BR/1BA apartment here for $680/mo. and got my first month's rent free (the management is certainly willing to make you a deal). Note that $680 is extremely expensive for Augusta (Most 2/1 units here would go for around $550, though if you averaged out the total cost including first month's rent free, $620 is the 'effective' rent here).
Speaking of the management, they're out of this world. Maintenance is essentially a non-issue with the on-call staff, and the managerial staff is as friendly as can be. I have a multiple sclerosis-like disorder and can't take heat (I'm in Augusta for a job, not for the weather!!!), and if I walk in to talk to someone in management, they crank down the air conditioner just for me! Talk about thoughtful!
The landscaping is also immaculate. The complex is nested in steads of the longleaf pines that Augusta (and the Augusta National golf course) is known for. You absolutely cannot tell that you're only about 1000 feet from Interstate 20!
The one disappointment will be that the interior of all of the units here is just "generic apartment". They're working on changing that though, to give more of a luxury look with the next renovation cycle.
A lot of people like the location, but I'm not a huge fan of the Boy Scout/Washington Rd. intersection. Often that one can back up a half mile, all the way to the apartment complex! I go the other way on Boy Scout Rd. to Walton Way to head to work instead.
Also, getting to shopping centers is easy, since Skinner Mill Rd. takes you to Augusta Exchange, where you can find just about anything (except a grocery store). The Augusta Mall is just one exit down I-520 away.
