I recently moved into Willow Ridge and it has been a nightmare. The managment is totally uncooperative. I have never had a problem with an apartment complex until this. When we moved in we noticed that the air conditioner unit was not working properly. The bedrooms upstairs were over 90 degrees!!! Downstairs we had to leave the central heat and air until set on 60 for it to get to 80 degrees. Also we noticed that the back door had crowbar marks on it!!! When we politely reported these problems to the management, they were nice and told us they would have it checked out and fixed first thing (this was Monday). They called me back and said that the maintanence had checked out our unit and they had recharged the freon and adjusted the vents and that it was working correctly now. HOwever, when I got back to the apartment I saw the maintainence order that said that "something was in front of the vents" and they had just adjusted the vents. This was a lie. Nothing was in front of these vents! It said nothing of recharging the freon as the manager had stated either. THe manager also kept telling me that she didn't know why I had had a problem because they had just put a new AC in my apartment. Well, when I got back down there I noticed that the AC was STILL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. It would not cool the house and they had done NOTHING ABOUT THE CROWBAR MARKS ON THE BACK DOOR. The Next Monday, I called the manager back and she said that under no circumstances would they replace the back door for "some dents", that it was not crowbar marks on the backdoor, and that the AC was brand new so she didn't know what my problem was. She was as nasty and hateful as she could be to me on the phone. Then I asked her if she had actually went and seen the back door and she said "to be honest NO, but I will go and look at it and call you back." When she did she called me back and told me that it was indeed crowbar marks and that she had also noticed that the neighbors had a new AC put in, not us, she was mistaken! She stated that she would have a new AC put in on Wednesday/Thursday and have the door fixed. Well, today it's Saturday and the AC has still not been fixed. I also got a powerbill for 13 days that was $123.00!!! They told me that they didn't know why it was this high. The secretary in the office told me that her's had never gotten higher than 120.00 per month but that it could just have to do with the way we use our power. Well there's only one person living there and she's in school until around 8pm at night. She doesn't use the washer or dryer. That comes out to around 250.00 per month. There's only one solution, it's the central heat and air. That's what the power company told me too. Plus they didn't fix the back door. They rigged it by putting a piece of metal over the lock. You can still see light around it. This has been a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. BEWARE!!! You do not want to go through this. They are nice in the beginning when you talk to them about renting. BUt the minute you sign the contract you are done for. Email me if you have any questions. I would be more than happy to help prevent you from making the same mistake as us.

maybe you should move if you are that unhappy and by the way heat rises that is why upstairs is hotter.

Setting your air conditioner to 60 degrees is extremely low, no matter how warm your apartment is...might just be me, but that could be why your electric bill is $123. It does cost money to run an AC unit...ever try a box fan? They really do work.

Okay, just to update this review. (I lost my username and password and due to trouble with the website, I have had trouble getting it emailed back to me until now). First to let you know that since I have written this review the air conditioner has been fixed. It only took 3 weeks of fighting and that huge electricity bill to get it fixed. Also the dishwasher was fixed, it only took 5 weeks to get it fixed. The managment has acted much nicer since all of this has been fixed. I have not had any problems with the managment since all of these problems where taken care of. Second, to all the responses that you love it here at Willow Ridge and that this is just a problem that I have had. I am happy for you all. I am glad that you are happy in your apartment. At the time that the review was written I WAS NOT; and that???s what this website was created for to let people voice their opinions, good or bad. Also, at the time of the review, the managment was doing nothing to correct the problem. I felt an obligation to let other people know of the problems that I was having so that if they chose to move in; they would be fully aware of the problems they could face and so that they could make an informed decision. I refuse to respond to to the petty complaints and jabs at my intelligence. In my review, I am not making any judgements on how anyone else???s stay here at Willow Ridge has been, I don???t know. Just like no one else knows how mine was. I am fully aware that heat rises, I have passed the 3rd grade science. In fact, I am currently a senior in college at the Medical College of Georgia with a 4.0 GPA. I understand that running the AC makes the electricity bill go up. However, when the AC is ran, it should cool the apartment. I would have not minded paying that electricity bill, had our apartment actually cools. Ours did not, it was still staying at over 80 degrees with the AC on. Turning a box fan on would only blow hot air around, we tried. P.S. I have debated on whether to remove this post or not. However, after thinking about the purpose of this website, I have decided to leave it on. As I stated earlier, I want to allow future renters to be able to make an informed decision, based on everyone???s review of Willow Ridge, good and bad. I would have loved to know, when I was moving into a place, everyone???s opinions of the place, good and bad.

I lived there for a year and half now, it does take a while for management to get maintenance guys out especially when your apt's problem is not an emergency, like backed up toilet or leaking pipes, etc. The reason I dont' like it now is because they now seem to take anyone in now, I have a new neighbor with about six people living in it and one of them looks like a homeless guy. The other reason is that my rent is more than some of other renters even though they came later than me.

Thats funny I really love my neighbors they are all very nice. When living in apartments you sometimes do get bad neighbors, have you talked with the office staff? When I go speak to them about issues they are always very helpful, just a thought.
