We have lived here for a little over a year, which is about 12 months too long. Since we have been here, we have had problems after problems. First upon moving in (sight unseen, we moved from MD with very short notice) the apartment was nasty. Unclean, dirty blinds, old stained carpet(with holes underneath), painted sinks and tubs, dented appliances, etc. We had no choice but to stay at the time. The second week we were here, the neighbors motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot. You can hear everything through the ceiling and the noise levels got to such an extreme once that I had to call the police because I really thought some guy was beating his girlfriend. Since then we have heard gunshots twice. It makes me feel a little unsafe at times. The condition of the apartment was terrible and we are always having some problesm. The leaking airconditioner, it took over a week to get that fixed and cleaned up. There was a BAT in our apartment and the HUGE bugs were ridiculous!!! My husband says they must be on steriods! Our garbage disposal broke, but was fixed within a couple days. Part of the ceiling plaster just fell off in the living room a couple months ago. Last week the neighbor upstairs' hot water heater valve blew off and flooded our living room. The ceiling plaster all fell off and the ceiling, walls, and floors are all soaking wet. It has been HELL for the past 5 days living in this mess. It smells terrible and the apartment manager will not move us, let us out of our lease early, or give us any break on our rent for the troubles. Not only that, they are NOT cleaning it up properly. They are just letting the walls and ceiling "Air Dry" and there is going to be serious mold. I have already started seeing some on the baseboards and under the carpet (I pulled up a corner to check). I reported it to the manager and she says that the way they are handling it is fine. Bull! We have put in our 30 day notice but have to stay in this hell for another couple weeks until we can find another place to go. I worry about the next resident staying here in MOLD HELL!

I have lived in the Woodhill Apartment community for a year now and will be sadly leaving to be stationed in San Antonio, TX. Since living here I have met many good people not to mention one of my neighbors being a local police officer and the staff was always friendly and willing to assist with any concerns. My maintenance requests have alaways been responded to in a timely manner. The nieghborhood was very quiet with many military families and other professionals living there.

As an employee of Woodhill I am disappointed to hear that this residents experience at Woodhill was not any better than what is being described. Our apartments were built in 1989. Yes, they are 19 years old but they are in good condition. We are constantly doing upgrades. We have replaced rotted wood and painted the exterior of all of our buildings. We have put in new interior doors, crown moulding in the 3 bedroom homes and chair rails in the dining room of all of our homes. We are currently putting in new appliances, new counter tops, new cabinet doors, new faucets and new vanities in the bathrooms. Woodhill is a very peaceful community. I can assure you this resident did not hear gun shots. It was a cars backfire from the main road. This was verified by the Sheriff's Office. I never received any noise complaints of neighbors being loud so I am not aware of the fight that this resident is speaking of. About the "huge bugs", anyone who has lived in the south long enough is aware of water bugs. These bugs are not roaches. Water bugs are very common in the south. Woodhill Apartments is not infested with them but we cannot gurantee that you won't see one. The newest, cleanest buildings anywhere are going to have a water bug from time to time. We do have unlimited pest control service for anyone needing immediate service as well as scheduled monthly service. The ceiling damage shown in the pictures above is from the apartment upstairs. Their water heater burst. Unfortuneately a water heater bursting is out of our control. We replaced the water heater the same day it burst. We did a water extraction in both apartments the same day and had the carpet cleaned in a timely manner. We did the ceiling repair as soon as the ceiling was dry. We had numerous vendors in the apartment doing repairs and carpet cleaning. Each of these vendors stated that they did not smell any mold. We did handle this situation the best that we could. We have policies and procedures that we have to follow. We cannot just let someone out of their lease. There are fair housing laws that we have to abide by. We asked that they give 30 day notice and pay through that 30 days. There were no additinal fees. I am sorry that these residents feel this way about Woodhill. However these incidents can happen anywhere, even in the newest home.

I lived in woodhill for 2 years (06-08). It is a very safe community. I never heard gun shots nor have I ever felt unsafe. The Apartment was clean upon move in as well as the facilities. The maintenance pople were quick to respond and were very friendly.
