Remember the saying you get what you pay for. Whenever you find a community that is offering rent very cheap, areas are going to lack. I have read the reviews and I understand your frustration. I was previously a tenant here. I have never had a problem with attitudes from the management, nor have I ever received the notes that many are speaking of. It is you who control the way conversation and interactions with individuals will be. I have never in my 15 mos of living on the property ever received a notice unless it was referring to something they are having in the community or reminding people not to use grills near the dwellings. I know economic times are challenging for some and you may be forced to live in places you may not be used to, but instead of complaining, use it as motivation and make the necessary changes in your life to better yourself.
Living here was not the most pleasant place I have ever lived, but I used it to save money so I could make a better life for my children and myself. It is true to not move into this place. I stayed @ Highland Park Apt for two years all of a sudden out of no where I recieve a letter explain that I owe them for water, for two years. When I moved in I notice the apt was being cleaned but when the next day i arrived with my things I notice the tub was skipped over the whole two bathrooms where not cleaned I had to clean them myself. Then within two days I notice this warm like bugs coming from up under the carpet crawling every where downstairs the dinning area and kitchen it was over 80 of them and it when on like this for three weeks until pest control came in. Their apartements is not what they make them seem to be.

I understand what you saying. But disagree total. I feel that Management does need to step it up a little I have seen cheaper apartment with better service and this is from some that stayed at Highland for 2 years also. You get what you pay for.... I didn't pay for roaches, I didn't pay for my car to get broken in to, I didn't pay for the worms that in my Living room and Dining room and in my opinion all Mile's apartments are like this from what I have seen. I was going to pay almost 1100 dollars a month for an Miles apartment in Decatur that look worst. This company is about the money only, forget customer service. I feel if anyone has a problem with this company they need to write them personally and also go to the BBB and etc....

Blessingme and Anonymous I agree with both of you 100% this place is just a stop for me and my children. I am a Real Estate agent so I was forced to live on a really tight budget,which is part of what led me here. But that does not mean I should be treated in humanely for being a victim of the economy.

RDSHA005 and Anonymous I don't think anyone should be treated the way the posting says management is acting. I think this site helps individuals to a certain degree. I would suggest that the tenants should report this to MILES PROPERTIES. I personally had issues with the repairs of my unit, but as far as problems with management, I never had a problem. My suggestion would be to put your concerns in writing. It's one thing to verbally express yourself, but documentation is essential.
