I have been a resident on this property since May 2008 and I am elated with the experience so far. Margarita in the leasing office is WONDERFUL and has been since day one. She always has a smile on her face and is friendly whenever I have a question or concern. I reside in a building with mature quiet adults who do not have children (Praise God!!!). It is nice and peaceful with no drama and if they have guests, their guests are respectful and do not make a lot of noise. My apartment is gorgeous and I do not have any pest issues (I am a clean freak, so I am not surprised). I have only had one maintenance call so far, and the matter was taken care of before I arrived home from work with excellent results. I do not walk to my car, check mail, throw away trash, or do laundry at night because being a single woman, that is just common sense. I am mindful of my surroundings whether day or night. So, in my opinion, I feel the property is safe as long as common sense and knowledge is used. If you see or hear your neighbor or someone else doing something you don't agree with, speak up and/or call the authorities. Your environment is what you make it! I do not agree with the whole "Do not snitch" mentality. That is the ignorance of a weak minded fool. I am not ashamed that I am a member of the Snitch Patrol :o). If I see trash on the ground, I pick it up and I don't wait around for someone else to do it. I sweep down the stairs and make sure the grounds around my building look nice. Yeah, it is not my job and I am not getting paid for it, but why let it sit there when I have capable hands to pick it up. Again, your environment is what you make it and if you take the time to care for what you have the ending result can be a positive and beautiful experience. Don't wait for someone else to do something if you know you are capable of handling a situation. In closing, I believe if more people stood up to drug dealers, stragglers, children misbehaving, and whatever else you feel is not a positive reflection, things on West Chase property could get and will get a lot better. There is crime everywhere even in the "best" residences all across the USA. If you are a God fearing person, there is nothing man can do to harm you. Man can kill the body, but not the soul.
