I was a resident for 3 years and recently moved. I agree that the management has changed like clockwork during my time there, but the current management is BY FAR the worse. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude and not willing to accomodate the smallest request. I was the "perfect" tenant, I paid rent early or on time every month, I have never had any noise complaints, I've actually referred others to the community and so on. Although, over the years I have seen numerous people come and go (in particular apts & the community in general), I chose to stay just for the "convenience" and the gym, which is by far better than any other community around. That is the ONLY two things that the Glens have going for them. They are priced higher than other communities around, I'm not sure why. Upon move out, a walk thru was completed, without my knowledge. I had only been at this particular apt for 6 months(transferred from a smaller 2 bedroom)so there was normal wear & tear, and not much of it. I got a bill for over $200.00! for items that should have been considered wear & tear. i.e.touch up paint and very small nailholes, etc. We even paid to have the carpet professionally cleaned and it wasn't acknowledged. I tried to contact the manager, ------, to discuss it with her and she was so defensive right out of the gate & eventually hung up on me. Now, that's professional. I have been in the property management business for over 9 years myself, I would NEVER treat anyone the way that they have treated me. I would suggest that you really weigh out the pros and cons before signing a lease with The Glens.(and read it very carefully, don't just sign it because it's "too much to read").Other apts in the area are just as convenient, cost less and have to have a much more professioanl staff on hand when you need them, that appreciate good(paying)tenants. The gym is not worth the extra money that you pay each month either, the "security" gates never work & when they do 20 cars can enter at one time...lots of security, huh!' You don't have to live at the apts to use the gym, or the pool for that matter, people come & go as they please that don't live there and nobody cares.(and they don't have to pay for this luxury) So save yourself time, money & headache....rent from someone else close by and enjoy the amenities for 1/2 the cost, sleep well knowing you are secure because the gates are functional and use the extra money that you will save to shop at the mall that you might have to drive an extra 1/2 a mile to or join the new fitness centers across from the mall. In a nutshell....IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!

I had the same horrible experience when I lved there. They tried sending me a bill after I moved out and I told them I was going to sit out front and picket with all of my friends. I had a zero balance faxed to me within 5 minutes. Give it a try, don't give them anymore of your money.

Thanks for your response and advise. All of this just happened today so I am far from done with these people. It's so unfortuante. I'm sure they try this on everyone....always looking for some way to make money since their occupancy is down due to the economy....What a shame.

When I lived there, from fall 2003 to spring 2005, it started out good, but then deteriorated. It became a haven for college partiers that couldn't live closer to campus. What a shame, it was so nice when I first arrived. I spent two weeks after move out doing a massive cleaning and repair job on the place. While I was there, I had a cat and repaired his damage. Not only was there an up front pet fee which was non-refundable, but an extra 10-15 per month (for 18 months) on-going pet costs. Guess what? They no only didn't refund my other deposit, but insisted that I owed nearly $300 in repairs (replaced carpet and cleaning). I didn't bother to pay and they never pursued me on it. What a waste of those two weeks of hard labor cleaning and fixing up.

The place is a joke, been out for sometime now and still get upset just thinking about the aggrevation The Glenn's caused me...like many have said-the management is horible, THEY WILL TRY TO GET YOU FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED UPON LEAVING, and the maintenance crew doesn't have any respect for privacy or any knowlededge of how to fix anything properly. DON"T LIVE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't beleive I'm wasting my time even writing this, but if it saves someone some aggrevation or a bad experience...then it's worth it.

I would have to agree, I have lived here for over a year and by far the current property manager is the worst. She has a really bad attitude and not friendly to the residents and as soon as my lease is up I am out of here. My suggestion would be is to put a complaint in a Executive Management who owns the place.

I read your suggestion to put a complaint in with the management company however they will not do anything. They are the worst managemnt company out there. They not only treat their residents this way but also their employees. I know employees that they also charged insane amounts upon move out and outright lied and/or made up charges. My advice to all is to NEVER lease from an apartment complex that is managed by Executive Affiliates.
