I have lived at the Glens at Mill Creek for about 1.5 years now, and I really like it. It's not perfect, but nothing is. Mostly, I am genuinely surprised that people say they've had so many problems with the management. Yes, there seems to be a lot of turnover, but I have *never* had an unpleasant interaction with any of the staff. The worst problem I have had is that it took several calls for them to come and fix my dryer correctly. Yeah, that sucked, but like I said, nothing is perfect.
I have very rarely had trouble with people making excessive noise, and I am super-sensitive to that. I never have to park more than maybe 50 feet away from my front door. My apartment is big--much bigger than I need, and IMHO a bargain at $850 for more than 900 square feet. I have my own washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a huge luxurious bathtub. The bedroom closet is huge and there's a small patio too.
The only things that I really see as problems about living here are 1) the "security" gates only work about half the time and thus are really NOT helpful in securing the complex (to be fair, you do sign a form when you move in stating that you understand the gates are not there to provide security but to "control traffic flow," so it can be annoying but you can't say they didn't warn you), and 2) there is no way to recycle on the premises, so you have to either bring your recyclables to a center yourself, or just throw everything in the regular garbage. That offends my environmentalist side, but for me at least, it's not a deal-breaker.
To the people who complain about the management, I would say perhaps you should try treating them with some respect and friendliness. I have almost always gone into the office with a cheerful attitude, and I cannot think of one time when people there have been unpleasant to me. If I went in screaming and yelling, as I suspect some of the previous reviewers did, I probably would be treated likewise. They're not your enemy, they're people with jobs, like you. Chill out and try to appreciate what really is a pleasant (NOT perfect, but just fine!) place to live.

Hi, I was glad to here such good feedback about this complex:) My husband and I are considering moving here this fall, we are moving from MN. and are unable to check out this place prior to the move. Can you tell us if the walls are concrete? Or if it is quiet? Thank you! Darlene

No, the walls are not concrete, they are drywall/plaster like one would find in a typical wood frame house. I always found it very quiet and I'm sensitive to noise. Some people who live near the pool do complain about noise in summer, but I really can't comment on that. Good luck with your move--I highly recommend the complex!
