If you have read all the reviews below, please notice that I once wrote one titled "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT'".... I expect a lot more from an apartment community than what I have gotten from this one. Where should I start' Why not the entrance. If you look to the left of the gates you will find a easily accesible dumpster, note when you do approach so said dumpster you will find that it is more like your local landfill. Overflowing with junk, discarded furniture all around, (signs are posted stating not to discard furniture there), trash that somehow could not make it into a white-trash family playground. Now, would you like to enter the complex' So would I. More times than not my remote does not open the gate, my key-card has mistakenly been deactivated or the gate just won't open. If you try the visitor gate be prepared to wait in line, then when it is your turn more than likely the code you are used to calling has been changed or will be busy. (I sometimes use the visitor gate and get in by calling the code for my cellphone, today I recieved a busy signal with the phone sitting in my lap.) But lets try to get in around 8:00 or 9:00 pm. Ever seen what happens when an 18-wheeler tries to get into an apartment complex AFTER OFFICE HOURS' Traffic gets backed up to the off ramp from 85. Then the gate gets broken because somebody holds the arm up while two other people hold the gates open. All of this just to have the truck drive around the complex and never stop. Now that you are finally inside the complex, good luck finding a place to park. The parking in my building is not that bad unless someone decides to have company. The other buildings in the complex seem to have a real parking problem though, too many apartments and residents for way too few spaces. At one point in time I would have agreed that the landscaping was nice, not now. The lawn company tends to cut the smaller areas and leave huge patches of grass when cutting the areas away from buildings. We al know that this was once a home for wild animals, the areas that do not get cut often are the areas where dog walkers frequent, could this be the recipe for somebody getting bitten by a snake' Maybe so, considering that just last year I saw two snakes within a 1 week period of time. Lanscapers tend to think that 8:00 and 9:00 am are good times to crank up those mowers and blowers. Not a big problem for those of us who work 9 to 5. But what about those who work nights and are just getting to bed at that time or those people with children that might still be asleep''''' Good luck trying to contact anybody in the office that has any sense. When you call it is no longer an answering service that takes your call, but a voicemail system. What if I have an emergency repair that needs to take place, who knows when my message will be heard, if ever. I have had a couple of notices taped to my door about trash left on my porch, why do I get threatened with a $50 fine for putting my trash on my porch for a few hours, yet whoever wants to can throw endless litter in the parking lots and on the property around the buildings. If you want to talk to the property manager, good luck catching her when she isn't on vacation, out sick, or "out on the property". If you think that this is a lot of rambling, expect to get the same from the staff. Hope that my rambling has given you a better look into life at Preston Hills @ Mill Creek..........HOPEFULLY YOU WILL DECIDE NOT TO MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!
