I will be honest... in all my years of apartment living (6), I have experienced the same "issues" at every complex, i.e. parking issues, noise, management staff changing every 5 minutes, half attempts to repair maintenance issues, cut and dry attitude and responses from management with any issues or concerns I have had. I have had the same experiences at Preston Hills during my three year tenure as a resident. BUT... I have to say that the current management staff is the best I think I have ever seen anywhere. While there are things that do go wrong, and issues that arrise, Michelle (the newest manager) and Lisa truly cares about residents and they listen. I think the most amazing quality they have, is they admit if they screwed up, they own up to areas or issues that need improvement, or they answer questions honestly rather than giving some BS line of legal jargin or the typical apartment manager response "It is not our responsibility, or "Because of Fair Housing crap"... blah,blah,blah. I get irritated sometimes because of parking issues or fitness equipment not working, but I have to honestly say that there has been a tremendous amount of improvement here since Michelle arrived. Granted the fitness centers are still worthless, the breezeways need cleaning BADLY, but as they say Rome was not built in a day, and I know nothing about running a complex, I can only consider that this place was a disaster when they got here, in fact it was getting kind of scary with the trash that was being moved in here, and the million issues inherited have to all be time consuming to get resolve. Overall, I will continue to live here if they never fix the fitness centers or paint and clean the buildings, because I have learned this is pretty much the same crap resident deal with in apartment living... what is rare, and actually nonexistant to me until I dealt with this new staff, is honest, caring, fair, and decent management. Worth every dollar I pay for rent in my book!
