Let me start with the staff...they are unprofessional, incompetent and slow. I know another resident who was even called a b---- by the community manager and given dirty looks. The maintenance crew mill around doing nothing. My soapdish fell off the second day I moved in. It took 2 weeks for it to be repaired, and it was glued on crooked. Kids run around throwing rocks at cars and dodging out between them to cross the parking lot. And if you venture outside...look out for the dog crap and the overflowing trash! Most of the ghetto people here have dogs that aren't even registered and they don't bother to clean up after their pets, which are mostly pitt bulls. The hallways have dried gum, old juice stains and other food and snack wrappers thrown everywhere. I almost forgot- I called in about a used syringe that was lying on the stairs. Honestly, the only "nice" spot is the balcony, where I can stare at the traffic all I want...joy. Oh, and one more thing; the air ducts are filthy. My 3 month old baby and I wake up every morning with congested sinuses and dry coughing. So, think about it...hard. Low rent is nice, but I'd rather pay a little more if that means getting better quality.

I feel you, we left Houston to get away from bad apartment complexes and we thought this one was better but people don't care about their surroundings and they have no courteousy what so ever. Maintenance always have an excuse for not fixing things (like there is no air running in my kids' room, dishwasher doesn't dry, etc.). I wish we could afford a house. I wonder if it is too late to change our lease (that we renewed) to a six month lease...

I wish we could afford a house as well. In case you respond, did you have any ideas as to where you want to go next? Everywhere I look there are bad reviews! At least this time I'm researching the locations, prices and crime rating.
