I have lived at the Canterbury Ridge Apartments for almost a year now. I came to the apartments because we did not have a place to live at the time and were desperate to find a place to live for a good price. We came to look at the apartment and the lady told us that the apartment was not ready to be view and tricked us into having to sign papers first and turn in an application with the fees. We had told her that this was our first time renting so she went ahead and took advantage of us. We filled out everything and even made us sign a lease. She gave us a key and gave us a paper that she was supposed to fill out when we did a walk through. The place is decently large, but we had many problems. The dish washer was clogged with what smelled to be bleach, the garbage disposal worked for literally a second, there were multiple stains on the (what seemed to be) carpet which was old and worned down. Plenty of marks on the wall where it looked like there was water damage, and under all the sinks were damaged because of leaks. I've had maintance people pounding on my doors not even calling before coming over, and this is when I have to sleep because of my night job. They tell us they'll get back to us when we have a question, our questions never get answered unless we harass them. When you first come into the office everyone is nice and professional and then once you're a resident they treat you like you are dirt. I believe that you should always be treated nicely no matter if you are a resident or not. I honestly cannot believe how rude they are. Not to mention that the walls are very thin, I can hear babys crying, neighbors blast their music,and kids jumping constantly. My power has gone off multiple times and there are burnt appartments that have been sitting there, barely touched by workers to get them rebuilt or atleast torn down. The complex has not sent out a notice that they are even trying to do anything about it, and it is a saftey hazard for our children. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone other than decently low rent.
