The main reason I moved here was the history. The buildings and the grounds are beautiful, something that you would have to go into the city for. They are reasonably priced. I will be moving after my lease is up, though. It is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a proper level of cleanliness in my apartment. Dust and bits of crap collect, seemingly overnight, on my tables, floors, ect. As of late, there seems to be a certain element that has invaded the community. Knock down, drag out, screaming matches at all hours of the day, kids skateboarding thru the hallways at midnight on a Monday, and the same group of noisy people congregating at the pool EVERYDAY. Do these people have jobs, I ask myself' The management does not do anything about these things when you complain. They also do not enforce their so-called "breed restrictions". I have seen at least 5 different residents with pit bulls. I really do like living here most of the time. It's refreshing to not have a cookie cutter apartment. The people here suck though. I highly doubt the leasing office does background checks like they claim. Oh and the security guard that they have stationed' What a joke. He sits on his a** by the pool all night. At least you know where to find him.

so did you not get the memo about the breeds? anyone caught with an agressive breed is supposed to be evicted. if you see someone with a pit then take a picture and give it to the leasing office so they can deal with it.

as far as the officer sitting at the pool, thats not the courtesy officer. that is detective roberts who lives here also but she is not our security officer.

you are right though about some of the people who have moved in recently. i don't blame that on the leasing office though since they are not psychic and if they fit the requirements they can't tell them to f off just because they might smell or be rude. now i had a bad neighbor when i first moved in here who tried to complain to my other neighbors that we were noisey, we weren't noisey at all but for some reason she couldn't grasp that in an apartment you might actually hear your neighbor. my other neighbors were at my apartment when we were having a cook out when the woman decided to bang her cain on my wall when all we were doing was singing to my daughter in the middle of the afternoon. so it does work both ways and the leasing office gets sick of hearing complaints especially when those complaints might not be legit or might possibley be over reactions.

This pit bull stereotype is a bunch of ----! I have been bitten by supposedly 'mild mannered' dogs and have never had a problem with any of the pit bull mixes I have come across! Raised in the wrong way--ANY DOG CAN BE AGGRESSIVE!!! If you check by the statistics, there are actually many, many more incidents involving supposed gentle breeds than others! Get your facts straight befor eyou open your mouth, just ends up making all of you look like asses!

I don't have an issue with pits in general. BUT, if management says they are not allowed, then that's that. They should not be allowed. I personally don't care if little Suzie Wets-Her-Pants get her face mauled by a pit or by a lhasa apso. Any animal can be dangerous. It's all about enforcing the rules, which the management did a piss poor job of doing. I live in Midtown now, and let me tell you. The susidized housing here in the middle of Atlanta is better maintained than the CMLs. This is about how crappy the lofts are, so let's not make this a pissing contest about who knows more about dogs, k?
