The nerve of these people!!!!

I've been here a few years and at first we had no issues. Noise complaints at first were handled, no problem with the rent or management. I'm almost at the end of my lease and we got screwed, let me tell you. On the fifth, we go to pay the rent (we had to wait on a check to get in that morning) and the office is locked up. No signs on the door, nothing. Check several times, never anyone there. On the day rent is due, mind you!!!!!! We find out the next day that they only had one person working on a weekend, and she was so busy she was showing the property all day. They no longer put signs on the door, either...I had to pay with card, how do they expect me to pay the rent'!'!' Oh, I was supposed to notice that the lights were on to see they were indeed open....One of the ladies, I think the one in charge, yelled at me for being late like I'm some 5 year old, and then laughed at the thought of me "hitting the ground" when I hear my total!!!! To top it all off, they won't take my check that they usually run through immediately to see if it's good anyway, because it's not guaranteed funds....I would also like to point out here that not only do I have good credit, but we have never bounced a check with them nor have been late in three years. I'm not a financial concern to them. No complaints have ever been made about us. There was no reason to treat me like trash today. One lady, Patrice, is always incredibly nice, but not the one above her, believe me.
Maintenance has always been pretty good, prompt when needed and friendly. They have a tendency to not tell you when they are coming into apartments, however. Noise levels are awful, but they at least try to curb it in. The prices are not worth the apartment, we found a larger apartment for almost $300 cheaper. We're outta here, and not looking back.

I am living in Heritage also for 2 yrs and I am very upset with the fact that my rent is going up 6% plus mandatory valet trash that I do not want. I would like to know what apt complex you found for $300 less, as I have been looking also.

We forgot to take out the garage in that total, so it's not entirely accurate. Our rent was going to be 880 base, 71 for garage, ( if they let us get rid of it, anyway.)20 for valet trash that we didn't want. So it was 970 total. 900 without garage. Harbor Creek in holly springs was going to be 735 without extra charges for a two bedroom, 1143 sq ft with free cable thrown in. They might have been running a deal, but we jumped on it!

If you are moving out...be warned.....this is what happened to us, and for some reason the website won't let me post it! Here goes.. If you are considering moving here, don't do it!!!!! Not only have we had issues with the rent before, but let me tell you what happened when we moved out. We spent 3 days between 5 of us scrubbing the crap out of the apartment. Hands and knees, scrubbing floors. We knew the carpet would have to be replaced, with us paying 50% of the cost. We also lost a gate key. We got the final bill the other day for $1033!!!!! Some of the charges where certainly justified, as above. They charged us 62.5% of the cost of the carpet, refusing to recalculate how long we've been there, then extra charges for leaving the place "trashed"! The only thing we accidentally left was a small bag of potting soil on the porch, and a box of Swiss roll cakes. They justified themselves by sending "two pairs of eyes" that work for them in to inspect, what do you think they will say???? I demanded to see the pictures they were supposed to take, and their camera was conveniently broken. In essence, it wasn't clean to "their specifications". Oh, and if you have pets, they charge $300 per pet, and the fine print tells you that none of that goes towards the carpet replacement. They told me it was literally for having an "extra person" living with you. (Thank God I didn't get pregnant...) If they read this, they can let it be known that although I might be forced to pay them, I'm seeing free legal service about it that I get as a retired vet, and am going to EVERY apartment ratings site I can find on the web to spread this story. I will never recommend this place to anyone, they will just steal your money. DON'T DO IT. The only way to stop this bunch of crooks is to hit them in the pocketbook. Take your business elsewhere!!!!!!!!!
