We moved here about 1 year ago. We live on a bottom level and it was nice...for the first month. Then the neighbors from hell moved upstairs.

Parties until 3 in the morning. Sounded like they went bowling or played basketball all the time. Played their music so loud it rattled the pictures on the walls. After complaining 2 times about their parties, the third time worked, we've not heard too much more from them.
Also, their toliet had been making noises for a few weeks. Finally woke up on night with 3" of water in our apt! It cracked the crown molding in the living room in many places-they are now cracking and falling apart from the wall. The walls and ceilings were wet for week-in the bathroom and living room.

Also when someone above us flushes it actually makes the walls sound like they are about to break apart-that goes for every apt above us, up to the top level! We can also hear the people above us using the bathroom-no joke!

We have some entertainment by the neighbors across the breezeway. We get to hear the couples arguments from time to time. I think I know more about their relationship than I'd like to know.

People drive like crazy through the parking lot. We have been almost hit by crazy drivers because they wont slow down! There are lots of parking spaces though and if you want to pay even more you can rent a garage.

Another neighbor lets there dog go right on the sidewalks but the maintanence people regulary pick it up.

When it rains everything floods outside, sidewalks might as well be swimming pools-drainage is horrible!!

These apts are definately NOT built well. The drywall has begun cracking all around the windows in all of the bedrooms and the living room. The master bd bathroom door is not level, it comes open by itself and the bd door does not lock at all! ALL of the doors were hung sideways, there is a bigger gap on one side of the door than the other.
I'm all for fire prevention, but these smoke alarms are VERY sensitive! Even if you just boil water the steam sets them off! That is NOT a joke!

It is cheaply painted. You just look at the walls and "POOF" a dirt smudge that wont come clean! I also dont think there was much "dirt" control when it was being painted because there is red dirt in the corners of the walls/ceilings (and the ceiling fan.)

This apt is NOT worth the rent we pay.
We are being WAY overcharged. Even though we did not want the alarm service or the washer and dryer, we still had to pay $45 extra a month for it!

Some pros: A nice layout (although the kitchen doesn't have alot of counter space) crown molding in the living room and high ceilings. There is a nice trail at the side of the apts which is lighted at night. Wide breezeways (when the neighbors dont keep there smelly trash out front or the dogs don't poop infront of your door) and Im sure some of the apts have outrageously beautiful views. The 2bd have computer nooks, although there is no good place to put your keyboard.

Another thing. When we first signed our lease we were told wed get an extra month 1/2 off in addition to the 1 month free 4 months 1/2 they were offering at the time. At the time of signing our contract I failed to read the tiny fine print about that. I later found out that particular leasing agent lied about getting the extra month 1/2, just to get commission. She isn't here anymore. So if you do decide to move into these crappy apts. READ EVERY DETAIL of your lease contract and do not take there word! We got a special "notice" because of a f-up BY THEM. They didn't even spell our names right!

The new staff is helpful and friendly. Liz and Jennifer are the nicest people you'll ever meet.
I would recommend these apartments, based on the other apartments around Canton, these are the best! -aside from workmanship
