Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
I was the first to review the apartments. Could not afford to move out after my 1st least was up so had to stay here.
The patio door does not close all the way and cold air comes in making my heating bill higher. The cracks around the windows are getting bigger plus the windows do not close all the way, more air coming in making it hard to keep a low energy bill.
The molding in the living room is so cracked it looks like it may fall soon.
As for management, Liz and Jennifer are so nice they are about the only pleasant thing in this place. Hopefully they have not left or will not leave, at least while I'm still renting this depressing hell hole.
I live facing the major lot/road leading to most of the other buildings so we get ALL the traffic coming through. People drive so fast that they might as well paint lanes and have 40mph limit. We have to keep curtains on all of the windows or people can see into your apartment (despite the plastic blinds.) People will actually slow down and stare into your apartment if you don't have the blinds down and curtains. No privacy at all. It makes it a dark and depressing place to live. I am more than ready to move back to my old apartment, Hickory Knoll because at least I could leave the blinds off the window and see the trees and birds.
One thing I do enjoy is the paved trail, although someone went through and busted all the lights, so besides the ones that don't work are ones that are busted by idiots.
There is one swing/picnic area that is nice and quiet.
The above neighbors throw their cigerrates off their balcony so our patio/front area are littered with THEIR cigarettes.
Besides all that I've changed my views on a few things around here.
If you like privacy be careful which apt building/apt you choose to live in. I'm sure some of them have great views and lots of privacy. All the kids and weirdos live in the far end apartment buildings, so I would suggest choosing one of the ones closer to the main road.
Hopefully we can afford to either switch apartments (despite all the downs of the craftmanship, or lack of it) OR we can get out of apartments all together.
That is my review and I am sticking to it.
