I have lived in SEVERAL apartments now, and for someone who enjoys quiet, and privacy, I VERY MUCH like this complex. The staff was very helpful, and willing to take on the challenges that I came to them with when moving in.
I got GREAT move in specials. From 99 dollar deposit to 3 months discounted rent.
Sometimes I'll jog around the properties, and right as the days are cooling off I see some of the neighbor hood kids out throwing a football, or riding bikes, or playing on one of the 2 playgrounds on site.
Ocassionally I hear a loud neighbor after silence ordinance time, but someone always goes out and asks them to quiet down, and they do the first time. No problems.

Just wait! I live on the parking lot which you describe as delightful play area for kids. Well, when folks pull out their lawnchairs, sit in the back of the pickups, play really loud music until my windows shake and the worst of the worst, use language that even would make my ex-military father shake in his grave, you may feel differently. In order to keep this fantasy alive, please ignore the taco bell trash, cig butts, dog poop, and of course, the hideous trash receptacle. Good luck.

You're right about the trash. My neighbors like to leave coke bottles and pizza boxes, and such. And I know what you mean about loud obnoxious neighbors. I used to live in a ground level apt. in a college town, and I'd have footballs of drunk frat boys hiting my windows at all hours. Maybe I just caught the playing in the lot on at a good quiet time. As far as the dumpster.... I live next to it, so you don't have to tell me how gross it is by pick up day. Overall though, this is the residents. Not the community itself.

I love my place. I live on the 4th floor for a reason and that's to get away from the human trash that thinks it's cool to blast their music in the parking lot outside your living room window, use language that would turn your hair white, let their dog crap right outside your bedroom window, and throw cigarette butts everywhere. I couldn't take it anymore at my old complex where they practiced bouncing their soccer balls against my windows day and night and then acted like it was their God-given right to do so. I don't care if I have to tote my crap up two flights of stairs, it's worth every groaning muscle. You may want to think about that if you have to move into another complex in the future. It's so much better.
