Yes the neighbors can be a little rural, but you are living in middle/north cherokee county. It comes with the territory. Get over it!!
The office staff was always attentive and was there when i needed them and were friendly and responsive. Maintenance for the few times called also were prompt and got it done. I just can't fault them. Perhaps i was lucky or something but i tell it how it was for me. They were also very accomodating and didn't nit pick at renewal dates and lease notices like some other apartments do.
When i moved out i was charged for damages as needed, which was one thing that was indeed broke (yep i done it!) and it was pocket change. They didn't inflate the cost of the item. Got my deposit back too -the damage withheld. No questions asked, no last minute deductions that i wasn't informed about and cleared on.
Now the buildings themselves.. Yes the walls and floors are a joke. Every day at 6am i could hear the neighbor waking the kids for school. I just dumped a pillow over my head and ignored it. The other issue is the stairs. Metal frame with concrete steps. Anything that steps on that will sound like a volcano. The good thing is you always knew when somebody was coming.... and not many people were coming at night. but day time it can get brutal with the kids playing around and jumping between the floors. I worked nights mostly when around. So beware of that if you are pulling 3rd shift
There is a lot of parking so thats a plus.
I am not sure which numbnut kept driving through the wooden barrier but the actual gates work no more and no less than those in other gated communities.
My kitchen was huge as far as rentals go. So was the master bath. The nicely wrapped tp and toilettries was a nice touch i haven't seen in other communities. Sometimes small things are remembered.
Although they won't tell you initially, the trash pick up is 25$ a month and you can't opt out (billed to your water i think it was). Beware of the neighbors using your box though.. since any issues with your box will go against you.
When you do your move in inspection, list every thing that you see. Down to scratches on the cabinets and you will be alright at move out. I recommend just paying for their cleaning service upon move out. They probably won't clean it before they do the walktrough, but if it becomes a point of potential charges, tell them they were supposed to clean it and you are good to go (unless you left a disaster behind you).

I would say you was lucky at move out, also i am surpised you took the time to take move in photos. But i know by the way you talk you are real. When we first moved in we could hear the cat run across the floor above us, So think of the sound we put up with from the cats 240 lb. owner.
