The bedroom was disgustingly filthy upon move-in. Cigarette butts on the floor. Bad smell. The bathroom floor and tub were literally black. It took 3 scrubbings to clean them. When asked to do routine maintenance (florescent light bulbs, for example) we were told that there was a charge for these services.
We had to pay August rent in full by August 1 although move-in date was not until August 21. Move out date the next year was July 31. That means everyone pays rent for 3 weeks that they can't live there.
