Carrollton Place has a bad rap, but it is not as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, there have been two cases of people getting mugged in the street (one each year i have been here), but no one has had their apartment broken into (as far as I know) and NO ONE has been shot here (like at some other apartments in Carrollton). I have heard people have a few major issues with their rooms, but I personally have no problem with mine. When I put in a work request, maintainence comes and fixes it same day or at least within 2 days. I have only seen one cockroach in the apt in my entire 2 years being here. It is very close to campus as well, so theres no need to commute to class. The management did change in 2008 for the better; the old management was extremely ------ and didn't give a ---- as to what was going on. There are new streetlamps and lights everywhere in the parking lots and on the buildings now as well. One thing that is not good is the internet service- it is the only major flaw that I can think of. The rent is fairly low (about $365 per month) and includes utilities (with a cap), of which I have rarely gone over, even with overnight guests taking showers. Overall, it has been a pretty good place for me!
