I could write a book about my experiences at Chateau, but i'll try to contain myself. First of all, the only good thing I can say about it is that it is close to a college and isn't too terribly expensive for college students, though rent went up before I left. It is definitely a party apartment--there are always parties and noise at the complex-it is not a place for families. They supposedly renovated our apartments and thus had to up our rent. They put shutters on the apartments on the front by the road (which was not mine), i guess to give the impression they were decent, and put wooden medicine cabinets in all the bathrooms and if u were lucky, you got a new refridgerator-it and the stove were green or yellow and had been there since the 60s since the place was built. They increased our rent for nothing! Maintenance is a joke. One of the workers is drunk half of the time and the others just take forever to respond. Our a/c broke in the middle of the summer in temperatures of about 85 degrees and it took them 2 days to fix it and of course it went out again. Our roof in our bathroom leaked and instead of fixing it, they taped it up and put paint over it to conceal it. A few weeks later, a whole section of our ceiling caved in and water was just gushing out-ruining everything in it. Talking to our upstairs neighbors the next day, we found out that their toilet was stopped up and overflowing at the same time our ceiling came apart. Guess what type of water we had in our bathroom floor'' That's just disgusting. Parking is terrible, though they did have a security guard working there who was shacking up with the mananger that monitored if everyone was parked where they should be. Management is another story. Some of them are nice, but the others are terrible to deal with and do not wish them upon my worst enemy. When we moved out, we didn't get all of our deposit back b/c they said that I owed them $26 dollars for not paying my whole rent, which is a lie-I looked back at all of my cleared checks and they all were accurate but it wasn't worth the fight, plus they said that we didn't clean our apartment like we were suppose to. We moped, filled in wholes from pictures and steam cleaned. What a joke. Roaches, there are alot of them and they are huge!!! And they are everywhere. The apartment has someone come and spray, but once I saw them come in, spray one room and leave. If you like cats, though, you'll love it there b/c cats are all over that apartment. Most of them don't belong to anyone so they just roam around everywhere. The walls in the apartments are paper-thin and you can everything your neighbors do from using the bathroom, to sex and we even heard once our upstairs neighbor threatening his pregnant girlfriend. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji
