I lived at Chateau for four years during college. During that time I lived in two different apartments, the first being a disaster and the second being reasonably nice. I lived in the first apartment previous to the renovations that took place. At that time, there was a grounds keeper that had a problem with alcohol and was going through some personal issues, causing his work to slack to almost a hault. There were problems with our air conditioner and a reoccuring problem with a leaky ceiling. The apartments are old and you have to know by looking at them that they are not going to be palaces. But they are functional and affordable living spaces for college students, not adults with families. There are a lot of parties that take place there . . . it is a college town, so remember that when making the decision to live there. The second apartment I lived in at Chateau had been refurbished and was much nicer than the first. It had new carpet and appliances and I really enjoyed living there. There are much nicer places to live in and around Carrolton, but I don?t think you can beat the price of Chateau, if you are willing to pay the price and accept that you aren?t living in the lap of luxury. My advice . . . suck it up and save the money. It?s college, girls don?t care where you live and neither should you!
