River Place is really not that bad. It depends on what kind of person you are and who you are living with. Compared to the other student housing, it is very spacious for the price. The location very close to the UWG campus. The overages can be annoying but to be honest mine were never over 50, which is not that bad in my opinion. I think that people should put in consideration that the people that they may be living with are probably using more water or electricity than is needed. I say that because I lived at River Place from 2006-2008 and had quite a few roommates during that time. When one particular roommate moved in, the overages drastically went up, like double the amount. So with that being said, make sure you talk to the people you live with to make sure that they are not using up electricity or water. The management has changed since I moved in and I liked the past management, but overall they were friendly. From my experience, I would recommend to anybody bc it is really not that bad considering it dirt cheap compared to regular apartments, you do not have to bring furniture, and its student housing for goodness sakes! The school that I am going to for graduate school do not have any student friendly apartments so I say the students in Carrollton are lucky to even have that.
