Research Be4 You Move

I have lived here for roughly two years. If you are reading this then you will more than likely read more of the reviews below and gradually see the consensus regarding the problems with PaP.

Below lists a majority of my main concerns/qualms with PaP:

-Roaches/Rats - The roach/rat problem is due to the poorly maintained on-site trash compactor. For the amount of rent you pay there should be NO excuse for the existence of these pests.

-Parking - Parking after 7pm is problematic. And for those reviews that characterize others as 'lazy' for complaining about parking 100 yards away, obviously you don't do the food shopping or care about getting soaked when the weather is abysmal. Roughly two years ago parking wasn't as problematic but as other reviewers have pointed out, more and more families have moved in therefore increasing the vehicle|tenant ratio.

-Cable/Phone Service - Yes you HAVE to use Bellsouth for cable and local phone service. I personally find the fact they have limited us to only using this sub-par conglomerate practically illegal. It's like being told you can only buy a 'Ford' when moving to a particluar zip code. The DSL is extremely slow for this day and age, also overpriced, and just a standard phone line costs $40. I hope to hear that someone takes legal action against Bellsouth/PaP regarding this issue in the future.

-Kids - As a 27 year old with no kids, it shocks me to see so many very young children with no adult supervision. I have had the luxury of almost running over a few of them on multiple occasions due to their apparent lack of supervision. I have also witnessed numerous times objects being carelessly thrown and the surrounding vehicles being damaged. Again, the community was not heavily populated by families roughly two years ago but as time did progress, more and more families (negligent to supervising their children) seem to have migrated to PaP.

-Crime - Due to lack of consistent maintenance on the mechanical gates, the opportunity for thieves increased. The occurrences are sparse for now but I foresee it becoming a bigger problem in the future.

-Staff - The staff is not as ignorant as some of the below reviewers have portrayed but are somewhat lackadaisical when it comes to larger issues such as the aforementioned roach problem. They also do not return phone calls nor alert you when you do have a package.

-Lease - During the renewal process PaP had the audacity to try and raise my rent another 15%. Very gutsy move considering all of the issues plaguing the establishment. I refused the 15% but due to my situation, I had to renew for at least another year subsequently I talked them down to a 4% increase.

Hopefully the above review will give those who are searching for a new residence in Atlanta a better perspective of PaP.

As for me, I recently purchased a nice townhome in Tucker, GA and my mortgage without property taxes and HOA dues will be $14 more than the rent I am paying. Can you say 'No-Brainer''
