I've lived here for about a year and a half. There is good and bad with every place but, over all, I'd say this place is "okay." I LOVE the inside of my apartment. There is more room and storage (especially in the kitchen with an island!) than other apartments where I have lived that are more expensive. I love my large balcony too. It's generally quiet (other than what is stated below), and I am not bothered. For those who have had noise problems, that is sometimes due to the LOCATION of your apartment. I always ask for an upper floor that does NOT face a parking lot, street, another building, etc.
The parking is NOT that big of a deal. I have always been able to find a parking spot, even if I come home late at night, though it may be farther away. I have lived in places where I could not find a single spot in the entire complex!!!!
The community is diverse, and I like that. I am the type of person who wants my privacy, so I don't get to know my neighbors. I've not had any problems with them other than the occasional minor annoyance of some guy downstairs who yells things from his balcony on occasion and being able to hear the couple upstairs having sex.
The place is generally kept up pretty well, but there are problems from time to time. However, the management SUCKS. When a new manager came on board, many incentives and perks we had were taken away (such as referrals), and "rules" were changed. The assistant manager was rude and unsympathetic. She's gone now, and I don't know much about the new one. When I call the office, nine times out of ten, no one answers the phone. Only one person there has ever been the least bit helpful to me, Yonja (I'm probably spelling her name wrong) -- she should be made the property manager, and not the idiots there now.
Problems: No elevators in 4 story buildings. The gates are often broken. The "exclusive contract" with BellSouth giving us NO choice in cable, Internet service, etc.
