The units are large.. That's the one thing that is positive. Very large units. Everyting else is FAIL! Lets start with the fact that after Katrina, they let every gangster in N.O. live here and not pay rent. 2 people were shot and killed in the parking lot right behind my unit. Don't believe me, Just ask Clarkston PD about Cedar Pines. Here's the laundry list--

Management- There have been no less than 8 managers here since 2004, some better than others, but all are ineffective overall because ownership never supported this complex. This current run of mill manager is nice personally, but does nothing. For every complaint you give her, she gives you a standard company answer which means nothing but lip service. You can almost lip sync the words to her answers as she says them. It all leads back to the fact that this place is now owned by a bank which means it takes 3 months to get even a light fixed.

Maintanance- You have a very good lead man, he's on top of his game, and will take care of you, so long as it doesn't require something that the owners have to approve.In other words, need a toilet repaired, he's right on it. Need a new AC unit, summer will be over before that happens!!

Appearance- Looks like the bronx in 1969. Or rather vietnam after the bombings. A unit burned in the back over a year ago, they just finished the paint and exterior repairs last week!! Several units are borded up, and dozens of windows are smashed.

Security- at least 3 units were robbed in the last few months. There are so many vacant units that the criminals are going to the empy unit next door to you and coming thru that crawl space into YOUR apartment!! No security to be seen Were all sitting ducks!
