First impressions of Highland Enclave are very misleading. I have lived here for amost a year and am counting down the days until my lease is up. In addition to hearing gunshots on a regular basis, is the fact that there have been many break ins and home invasions. Forget calling the police. If they are even able to find your apartment, expect to wait on them to arrive for upwards of an hour. Mgmt. does not inform tenents of any comprimises in safety or security. There is a security guard (LOL) who patrols the parking lot in a Nissan, who barley speaks any English and is not very helpful at all. I have never felt more unsafe then here, and I know several people who feel the same way that I do. The end of our leases cannot come to soon. You get what you pay for at Highland Enclave. I had to put up with faulty appliances and several calls to maintenance before something was done. One call took about 3 weeks for HE's "amazing" maintenance staff to fix, and that was just a temporary fix.
