Torture at its best...

I urge anyone who is remotely considering moving in to Lakeshore to think again! I lived there for 2.5 years and I was at my wits end! I couldn't wait for my lease to expire in Feb. of 2005.
For starters, I had major problems with my heating. I constantly called the leasing ctr to have the problem taken care of but the maintenance man always did a sorry job when it came to fixing it. Needless to say, I was without heat (off and on) for like 14 days! This was in the middle of the winter so I was highly upset. After reporting them to the BBB, the situation was resolved and they prorated my rent for the time I did not have heat. Although, I had to raise sand just to get those results.
BTW, the women in the leasing ctr (with the execption of Ms. Helen) are low class and extremely ghetto!
I had roaches in my apartment that would not cease. The break-ins in the surrounding apartments became more normal and the little bad kids in the complex would constantly shut off the breaker to my apartment so my electricity would go in and out. When I complained about putting a lock on the circuit box, the leasing ppl refused!
Living at Lakeshore was a living hell for me! Also, one of my co-workers moved in when I moved out and the poor thing was robbed at gunpoint in front of her apartment! I am thankful that I got out when I did. Although this was my first apartment in GA, the neighborhood was good at first but gradually began to deteriorate, thanks to new mgmt. I even found out that the market rate for the apartment I was living in (1 bed, 1 bath) was $499. Meanwhile, I was paying $589. In no way was that apartment worth that much. Plus, my veh was fludded out there in the summer of 2003 b/c the drains became blocked by the long pine needles that fall from the trees over there. I was extremely upset about that as well.
Also, most of the ppl in Walden Village (complex next door) sell drugs so they make Lakeshore that much more dangerous!
If you want better living for yourself, I urge you to look some where else. I know I did...!
