Very spacious apartment, too many bugs in the summer time

We lived here for 3 years. December 2007, water from the washing machine was backing up in the kitchen sink, maintenance was called and arrived, 2 days later. When the problem was found it turned out to be a backed up line under the building, they began to jackhammer the floor in the kitchen, broke a water line and didn't know where to turn the water off, our kitchen and dining room was flooded, the manager came in, didn't identify himself, stayed for about 1 minute turned and walked away, I had no idea who he was...after the water was finally turned off, we lived in the apt for 3 weeks with no kitchen, there was dirt piled 2 feet high, we were not allowed to use the kitchen, nor did management offer to put us up in a hotel/motel, then management had the nerve to expect rent, we went back and forth with mgmt and paid a pro-rated amount, how stoopid of us...Also, the carpet was not replaced in the dining room, they replaced the padding, it was water was vacuumed up and they put a blower in the unit, which stayed for 2 days and we had to pay the electric bill...LOL...we no longer live there. Too many damn "tree" bugs, couldn't take another summer with them...Very quiet, never had any issues with breakins or thefts of any kind....the complex is old, needs new paint, inside and out, windows are very drafty in the winter time....
