the manager is a pain in the butt, she has a bad attitude and instead of my rent decreaseing when my lease was up my rent increase!!! There is limited parking if you have 2 cars you might not have room for the both of your cars. Don't get me wrong the inside of the apartment is nice, but all the drama from managment it is not worth it!!!!

How do you think your rent is gonna decrease for renewing your lease, it either goes up or stays the same

At any apartment complex, the renewal rate will depend on 2 things: 1)how many apartments they have have vacant. 2) what kinds of specials neighboring apartments are offering. The goal to beat the competition. In most cases if you moved in on a special, then your rent will probably increase (because that was not the normal rental fee anyway). I wouldn't dismiss Lakeside based on that. When I moved to Lakeside the special was $599 for 2 bdrm 2.5 bath townhome. I knew the rent would increase upon renewal, but it's only $620 now. Besides even with the increase, that's WAAAAY cheap for the space.
The management is a little hood, but this IS College Park...I kinda expected they would be. However they've always been helpful to me.
