I love Brighton Park, in fact I was referred by a co-worker, and enjoyed living here.The only down fall is, the security. I am divorced, and I have been stalked and attacked while living here. The management did say they would get a gate when needed. The last residents I lived in had a controlled acess gate and cameras when entering. Now I see why. I don't know what the future holds for me here, but I would like more security, then you would not have to call the police when you are put in my situation. There is also a clause that can be inacted on you the leasee if the police are called to your home. I know they have policies, but I am not at fault. I will keep you posted on the results. And please, could you get closed acess so this type of problem will not occur. Thank you.

FYI...This case was a domestic incident and this resident writing this let the person in that they were being stalked and attacked by. Please feel free to contact the police department about any apartment community to check public information on crimes in any area! I rest my case.

Security really is an issue. We have open gate access to anyone who wants to come in. The property is not lit properly at night, especially in the back around F, G, H and I buildings. All of the picnic areas should have some type of lighting. I think if the property was lit more it would be easier to see incidents that occur around here, not just domestic violence but also our vehicles or others vehicles being broken into. Brighton Park is not the worst place but it is also not the best place either. Lots of issues need to be resolved to make it better. I do agree about the fitness center not being complete, the pool is too small for such a huge complex, the foyers are always a mess, not everyone picks up their animals mess, but those of us in the back don't have the luxury of the pet bags. Come on management, make this place a home you would live in. There is so much potential here.
