Amidst the recent surge in crimes in Columbus of 3 women being robbed at gunpoint July 31st ('07), one of whom is a RESIDENT of Club Hill, NO SECURITY MEASURES have been increased and/or implemented. Then last night around 4:15am (August 4th '07), rapid gunfire rang out at Club Hill and continued for approximately 45 minutes, the shooter seemingly changing his whearabouts within a close proximity throughout. Luckily, the police force got the problem under control around 5:10am. But when questioning the office of any information at all on the incident, the woman I spoke with "had no information" and got off the phone with me rather quickly. With the prices they charge for rent, etc., their lack of handling the problem is an outrage. I am a stay-at-home mom who is now a prisoner in her own home, fearing for the lives of herself and her family. I remember being absolutely terrified that night. It took the police over 30 minutes to get there.
